A gift to a dear friend and fellow chess player. Very unique and beautiful set. Weight is not heavy, balance is apparent and well made.

this was a gift to myself, I recently found the time to learn to play chess, my daughters competed for years and are champs.Well crafted, it is a conversation piece. and the funniest thing is after my guest have see this set as opposed to my first set brass and wood, they assume I've been playing for years, lolso much pressure to be great now. smh

We bought these to include as a gift with a custom made chess board. These pieces look and feel great. No scratches or mold lines etc. Our son loved the look and feel, he said the weight of each piece was very good. They work well with 1 5/8" chess board squares.

I am very impressed at the quality of these chess pieces. They definitely got some weight to them which I like and the finish on them are better in person vs pictures. I think any chess board would go great with these pieces. The only thing I didn’t like is the queen, It’s hard to distinguish with bishop when going fast other than that I’m very satisfied for the price 😀

I received these chess pieces yesterday and they are absolutely perfect. Nice heavy weight to them, perfect size and exactly what I expected. These are beautiful pieces that will go well with the new board that I purchased for my husband.

Throughly dissatisfying. This premium product bought at a premium price arrived in a box that has photos of coasters. Packed in a plastic bag that seems like this is rehashing a returned product. Talks nothing about the product or its origin or its making. No proof of quality. Or whether or not this is brass or clay painted with brass effect colors. Was meaning to give this as a gift to some one important and have to now buy a box to do this. This came with NO DOCUMENTATION or premium felt or foam packaging that can verify its make or material or origin. Even worse, it came with an Indian MRP printed for 995 Rs and or 1995 Rs (see photos) which makes it even more embarrassing as we paid 123 + tax Canadian Dollars (=INR 9000). We have in the past bought chess pieces at a fourth of the above price and still got it in impeccable packing and documents that are worthy of giving as a gift. Am left with no time to return it and buy another product as the person is flying out of town. Bought it for the next day delivery and am stuck with it. So ran around town trying to find a packaging that justifies the premium price paid for the product or else the person we are gifting it to may think we gifted him peanuts. I don’t normally leave negative reviews but thought this might help those who expect to buy this in Canada to gift it to people. It’s like buying an expensive metal ring worth 9000 that comes in a box of an plastic pendant worth 1500, so the receiver feels they were gifted a product from the streets. I can go on and on about how SoneKraft and or Amazon got this wrong. Never again!

Most of the darker painted pieces were damaged or poorly finished so I returned the item. The non painted pieces were beautiful I wish they used 2 different types of metal for like stainless and brass so none of the piece needed to be painted then they would have great set.
