TeraFlex1909200 JL: Spare Tire Relocation Bracket Kit

Great product. Eight bolts, instructions are easy to follow, and had it installed in 30 minutes. The bolts are too long and prohibits the panel from fitting back in place on the inside of the tail gate. That being said, I did install a tail gate reinforcer which added the correct amount of space so the bolts would not be as long in the forward side of the tail gate. I recommend doing both at the same time.

No issues with fitment. Did not need to access the inside panel as the cable harness was long enough, and the extended bumpers would not reach the tires regardless of stacking them up so left the OEMs in place.

Easy to install. Directions were well written. It took me a little over one hour to install. It looks great too.

Like the fact that this works with the factory reinforced tire carrier. It DID however require a bit of grinding to fit. Once modified though it fit well and is rock solid. I have a 37*12.5*17 ProComp Xtreme MT2 on it and it clears everything just fine. Would recommend getting the Teraflex tire mount as well for larger tires.

Easy enough and works flawlessly . Took 15 min to install and put the tire where it needs to be . Looked at many designs but this one was light and fit without any modifications.

First off: This relocation bracket kit is not worth anywhere close to $150. But because there are few competitors making a similar product for the JL, TeraFlex knows it can over-charge for this type of stuff. Even with the bumpstop spacers, this is an $80 product, at best.With that said, it gets the job done. Mine is supporting a ~67 lb. 35x10" Kenda Klever mounted on a 23 lb. Vision wheel, totaling about 90 pounds. Mounted atop an HD tire carrier.So, yes, these TeraFlex brackets will fit HD tire carriers, like the Rugged ridge Spartacus that I'm using. But you may need to do some basic cutting with a Dremel. In my case, the bottom bracket fit my carrier with no modification. But I had to cut a small wedge into the top right corner of the top bracket so it would clear a raised portion on the carrier, and rest flush against the arm.Honestly, you're probably better off just buying some of the other choices that are available for this sort of thing. RedRock's Tire Relocation bracket is only $90, and it's one solid piece of steel.If you're real crafty (or at least own a cheap drill press) you could probably just buy any tire delete bracket, drill 8 holes in it, slap some bolts and nuts on, and make your own bracket for about $40.

Very easy to install and fixed the issue with the spare.

I purchased a Teraflex Alpha HD spare tire carrier and tailgate reinforcement kit for my Wrangler JL to go along with a 2" Mopar lift, a new AEV steel bumper, and new 35" BFG KO2 tires. The AEV bumper is great, but provides no cut-out like the OEM bumper to accommodate the OEM spare, let alone anything oversized.To my surprise and disappointment, even with the lift provided by the Alpha HD tire carrier, the tire still hit the bumper and I needed to find a solid solution to provide just a bit more lift to clear the bumper with the 35" spare mounted to the reinforced tailgate.I was glad to find this Teraflex component which merged seamlessly with the Wrangler mounting holes and the Teraflex Alpha HD system. The extra 2" provided plenty of clearance and all of the components came together into one rock-solid mount.The finished package looks great and performs perfectly.
