First Nature 3054 Red Hummingbird Nectar is a 32-ounce concentrate designed to attract and nourish hummingbirds. Its bright red color draws in these beautiful birds, while the easy-to-fill wide-mouth jar and two-part base make cleaning a breeze. Very nice and easy
This is so much easier to use than the powder mixes, and/or making your own. Well worth the price. Don't forget to change it out after a while, even if there's some leftover, it's better for the birds. I have another tip for those with ant issues (who doesn't around hummingbird feeders?). Seems no matter where you hang a feeder the ants WILL find it and soon you will have MOBS of them ALL OVER IT. You don't want to poison them of course, because that will hurt the birds. I have my feeder hanging on one of those long lantern hooks staked into the ground. First time I hooked a feeder to it, within a couple days it was BLACK with ants (even with the 'ant trap' on the feeder (they'll figure out how to cross that moat, trust me!). SOOOO, what you do is coat anything and everything leading up (or down) to the feeder with VASOLINE. You won't need to put anything on the feeder itself, because the ants will never be able to climb up to it. Haven't had a problem with ants since I discovered this little trick. Happy Humming!!!

HUMMINGBIRDS LOVE THIS STUFF
This was the first time using First Nature 3054 Red Hummingbird Nectar. Had previously used Perky Pet or the Pennington Hummingbird Nectar, but noticed the hummingbirds were not going to the feeder as they had been. When I switched to First Nature, I could not keep them filled. I have 2 8 oz feeders and am refilling them every other day. I have now been through 2 32-oz bottles plus the smaller one and really need to order another bottle, but I know they will be migrating this month. Even bought some for my elderly neighbor and he says they almost attack him when he carries the newly filled feeder out the door. This Nectar has really impressed me. Will continue to buy.

It doesn’t work
We have used this for our front and back of the house hummingbird feeders. We had 2 at different times stop by but quickly moved on. I can only surmise, they don’t like it.

Hope you have a LARGE feeder!
This is the best nectar on the market! It is like crack for hummingbirds. Everytime I refill my (2) 32oz. feeders, which is about every 4-5 days. The birds are eating on it before I can hang it back on the hook. My wife laughs at me because I will just hold it up in the yard for a while, & watch them eat right in front of my face before I put it back on the hook. I suggest buying more than 1 bottle if you have several hummers around, or more than 1 feeder. If you buy it they WILL come. For those of you concerned about the red dye, First Nature makes a clear nectar available on their website. I have not tried the clear, so I don't know if you will get the same results, but the red nectar is a birdwatchers dream. --guitarcollector in N.C.

Hummingbirds love it.
Easy to mix. I tried another brand and the birds wouldn't use the feeder. When I returned to this brand they came back. Have to replenish the feeder often

Birds Love This
Now have all 7 feeders in use. This year got to a slow start with the amount of birds, but now we have at least 20 that are here every day. they fight and chase each other, and that is why we have added feeders. The bees try to take-over, but just wash the feeders at each refill, and they are not too bad of a problem. Have used both the "red" and "clear", and the birds like the red better as they can see if the feeder is full.
