A quality knife at a great price
For $12 and change this is a great knife. The fit and finish are well done. The materials are good quality. The jigged bone handles are nice to look at. The liners are brass and the blades are mirror polished. The large blade is 2.5"long and the small blade is 2". For this knife the country of origin is shown on the large blade, "China". Of course not all that is made in China is good or excellent, but the manufacturer and the distributor of this one can be proud of it. Compared with similar knives made in China this is well done and at a price about half of the cost of the competition. The next time I look for a pocket knife, I'll check out what Rough Rider has to offer.

Sharp well made great value
Sharp. Well made Comfortable in hand. Laser engraved on large blade “440 razor sharp steel” detracts from appearance. I carry it every day and use it. Crazy valve for price

Everyday knife
Found out my Camilus Boy Scout pocket knife is no longer made and is a “collector item” so needed an everyday knife that was similar and this did just the trick.

A Rough Rider “Fail” (or the ‘canoe that can’t...’)
First, allow me to note that I’m not trying to compare this knife to the others in my collection and that I am using my experience with RR and lower-cost knives specifically. The first canoe knife to arrive had some of the worst-fitting bone handles I’ve seen. Specifically, the bone inlay was raised so far above the bolster edge, that the knife was uncomfortable to hold (my pics aren’t great, but you get the idea). No worries, must have been a factory mistake and thanks to Amazon Prime, back it goes for a replacement. Well the replacement was almost as bad and back it went as well for a full refund. Not sure if the issue is the canoe design itself, or a quality problem. Other RR models seem just fine for the price point and I do believe RR knives are a good value for a daily user - I just sure hope quality control is not slipping as of Oct 2019.
