The ratings go through the roof, so the executives at HBC keeps taking it further and further. Meanwhile, a mysterious disease, which causes people to vomit out their insides, is plaguing South Park. The boys find out that the word "sh*t" is linked to the Black Plague, and try to stop the executives from saying the word on television more.RATING: 3.5/5503 - Cripple Fight: The parents are worried that the boy's scoutmaster, Big Gay Al, is going to turn their boys gay. They complain to the scouts and have him thrown out. A new, child molesting Scoutmaster is hired and the boys try to get Big Gay Al back as their Scoutmaster. Meanwhile, a feud builds between Timmy and Jimmy, the new handicapped kid.RATING: 4.5/5504 - Super Best Friends: The David Blaine sensation is sweeping the nation. Not only is he an amazing magician, but he is also the leader of a dangerous Cult. Stan decides not to join the cult, but Kyle, Kenny and Cartman have been brainwashed. Kyle tries to escape but Cartman betrays him. The Blainiacs are planning on committing mass suicide, so Stan recruits Jesus and the Super Best Friends to save the day.RATING: 4/5505 - Terrance and Phillip: Behind the Blow: The boys obtain tickets to see Terrance and Phillip live, but they have to prepare for the South Park Earth Day festivities on the same day, so they promise that if they go, they can get Terrance and Phillip to perform at the show. Unfortunately, it turns out Terrance and Phillip have split up. They boys do their best to reunite the comedy duo.RATING: 3.5/5506 - Cartmanland: Cartman lives his dream when he inherits one million dollars from his grandmother. He spends the money right away on his own amusement park and doesn't plan on letting anybody in, including Stan and Kyle. Meanwhile, Kyle gets a hemorrhoid and stops believing in god.RATING: 4.5/5507 - Proper Condom Use: Cartman teaches Stan and Kyle a new trick. They learn how to "milk" a dog. However, when Stan shows his new skill to his parents, they are not thrilled. They demand the school teaches the boys sex education. Mr Mackey teaches the boys, and Ms. Choksondik teaches the girls. They are not the best candidates for the job, and end up scaring the children away from the opposite sex.RATING: 5/5508 - Towelie: Cartman finds a tampon in Stan's garbage, and to cover it up, Stan's mother buys them a new video game system, the Okama Game Sphere! Their new system is taken away from them and they must use Towelie, a talking genetically engineered towel, to find their video game system.RATING: 5/5509 - Osama Bin Laden Has Farty Pants: The boys each send a dollar to the boys in Afghanistan. The Afghanistan children send them a goat in gratitude. The boys have no place for the goat in their homes, so they take it back to Afghanistan, but they are captured and are held hostage by none other than Osama Bin Laden!RATING: 3.5/5510 - How to Eat With Your Butt: Cartman is hysterical over the prank he has played with Kenny. Kenny got into his coat backwards and upside-down so his butt shows out of his hood. His picture is taken with it, and Cartman puts it on a milk Carton. A couple with butts for their heads think that Kenny is their long, lost son, so they come to South Park in search of him.RATING: 5/5511 - The Entity: Mr. Garrison is frustrated with the extremely poor service at the airport, so he invents a new mode of transportation that is fast, and everybody can own their own. The only problem is that it is very uncomfortable to operate, but people think it beats what you go through at the airport. Meanwhile, Kyle's cousin Kyle is visiting, and he is driving Kyle crazy with his stereotypical Jew antics.RATING: 5/5512 - Here Comes The Neighborhood: Token feels alone because he is the only rich kid in town, and the boys tease him for it. Token invites some more rich, African-American friends to come live in South Park. The current residents of South Park don't take kindly to these new neighbours and attempt to drive them out of the town.RATING: 5/5513 - Kenny Dies: This is a very special episode of South Park, because.......Kenny dies! But this time, Kenny doesn't come back. Kenny is sick with a terminal illness. Cartman tries to legalize stem cell research to save Kenny's life, while Stan is having trouble dealing with his friend's condition.RATING: 4/5514 - Butters' Very Own Episode:Butters' family is falling apart when his mother finds out about his father's trips to the bath-houses. She thinks the only way to solve the problem is to kill Butters, so she sends him in a car into a river. Believing he is dead, she blames his death on some Puerto RicanRATING: 4/5

This season is pretty funny, glad I got this one and works for a good laugh

With Season 5 you can tell "South Park" is taking a new direction. Prior to this season you might get an occasional topical show like "Cartman's Hate Crime" where Trey Parker and Matt Stone would tackle a hot issue of the day, but for the most part up through season four, "South Park" avoided addressing current issues. Season 5 addresses the attacks of 9/11, airport security, sex education in public schools and homosexuality in boy scouts to name just a few. Cartman, Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Butters find themselves neck deep int the current events of 2001....and for the most part the shows work really well. It seems Parker and Stone realized that to amp up the shock value always found on their show, a singing Christmas poo was good, but not as good as grabbing something from the headlines and taking an unpopular, or a stance that isn't politically correct. The humor with season 5 is much darker as well. Cartman's extreme revenge on Scott Tenorman, Chef's explanation of God's plan, the actions of Butter's Mother etc...are all very dark, and twisted, but still funny. I enjoyed this season, maybe not as much as the previous four, but still found it worth adding to my collection. Just be prepared for quite a different "South Park" when you buy this collection.

Husband collects South Park. It came in fast and great condition. Good show.

I only bought the dvd for the banned episode. all the dvds were clean and played perfectly. the only thing is when i opened the case pieces of plastic fell out and the case seemed worn even though it was still in the plastic packaging. i don’t personally care since i only care about the condition of the dvd, but i’m writing this for the people who care about the whole package

Came right on time and in perfect condition. I assume anyone looking to buy this item already likes South Park and has probably seen the series. However, I just have to say how much I enjoy this season. They are very well known for dark humour and satire, but there's something extra dark about the commentary in a few of these episodes that are just hilarious and pointed (i.e. Butter's Own Episode and Here Comes the Neighbourhood). No complaints.

Season 5 of South Park has some of the all time great episodes of the brilliant show. This fantastic season originally aired at dated throughout the year of 2001 and it's greatest episodes are:"KENNY DIES", in which the boys are shocked to descover that the friend Kenny has a terminal illness and will surely die."SCOTT TENORMAN MUST DIE", in which a boy named Scott Tenorman tricks Cartman in to buying his pubes, but when Eric finds out that it's a scam, he will stop at nothing to get back his money..."PROPER CONDOM USE", the boys are taught sex education at school, the girls are scared of catching deseases from them, and Mr. Mackey and Ms. Chockondik engage in an intimate relationship.So, all in all, great season, sadly hardy any bonuses.You'll have to ration yourself or you'll work through these brilliant 14 episodes before you know you have it!

この第５シーズンではスタンら４人組が４年生に進級したのに伴い、オープニングが新しくなりました。また、今シーズンでは現在準レギュラー的存在としてお馴染みのジミーが初登場し、同じ障害者であるティミーが彼に嫉妬し、激しい決闘を繰り広げます。収録されているエピソードでは、特にカートマンがスコット・テノーマンに対して徹底的に復讐する話がオススメです。もちろん英語音声のみなので英語が苦手な方は理解しにくいと思いますが、第５シーズンは日本語版のＤＶＤが出ていないので、ファンならもちろん買うべきです！あと、作者であるマットとトレイの２人による音声解説も収録しています。

前半、シーズン4ばかり入ってる。5だと思ってたのに残念。話数も少ない。
