I’m not sure what the bad reviews are coming from, we thought enjoyed the beach with this umbrella. I was a but skeptical at first but I pulled the trigger.The umbrella itself is well constructed. We went to South Padre Island on a day the was a storm coming in the afternoon. We were there all morning, windy day and all and the umbrella barely even moved. The neighbors had their umbrellas blow away. They even asked the brand and where I bought it! 😂As for the pole, it does have a push latch middle section, but we didn’t experience any “umbrella flying away” scenario. Everything snapped on fine and we were good for hours.As for the base, full disclosure, I took my drill and bought the a drill extension, here on Amazon, to slip the pole into the group. I drilled the hole, applied the supplied base over the hole, slide the pole in, filled the base with sand and there you go! Took me literally less than 5 minutes to do everything.Met my needs and would buy again.

I bought this last summer but didn’t use it until this summer. It broke on the third day. A gust of wind came and tipped it over, whipped the blue canvas off and the rest is dangling and/or off. Can’t be put back together. This is a very expensive knockoff, especially if they only last three days!!It is too late for a refund, but I don’t think it is too much to expect a replacement.

Very sturdy to withstand pretty decent wind. We use with a sand spike rather than the bag included to fill with sand to weight. Much easier. Bigger than your average beach umbrella. Really happy with it.

The media could not be loaded.  Missing the instructions and the picture jumps to a totally different product when I try to get any more information. The beach umbrella is very nice and it will be a great idea if it is wind resistant and endures the beaches over her. I can't get a human or the Amazon text message service to fix the website issue with the picture of the beach umbrella going to the wrong product. I just wanted to see what was missing besides the instructions.

Ours has been used for a week at the Outer Banks and has performed flawlessly. We used an auger instead of the included sand bag option. Any umbrella must be deeply secured to the sand to withstand ocean beach wind. Ours worked fine and is sturdily constructed. It will be wilh us for many summers.

Bought this based on ratings and the need to get a new umbrella delivered to us via Prime while on a beach vacation. We’ve been vacationing on the beach for several years and this is not our first beach umbrella. At first inspection after removing from the box this looked like a good product. As we put this together for the first time we found that the two pole halves are held together by this plastic quick clamp that presses an inner pad from the lower pole against the upper pole and is totally reliant upon friction to hold them together. With the clamp engaged I could easily pull the two halves apart. If I could do that by hand the wind would easily rip the two apart on the beach. All the designer had to do was utilize a quick release pin between the two halves and this might be a good product. Once we get home I will be returning this umbrella without ever having used it. We were very excited to get this and are now hugely disappointed.

This is the best beach umbrella we have ever had. It stands up to any wind we have had in our beach trips and is easy to assemble. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase.
