Slid off a steep mountain road and buried my FJ in 4ft of snow last winter. After 30 minutes of trying to get it out without the winch I gave up and hooked up the winch. Pulled the truck out in 5 minutes. Same trip I used the winch to pull an SUV out of a ditch. I attached the winch to a CURT tray that goes in my front receiver. Easy to remove when not needed. Great winch.

This winch is great. The handle lets you easily control the in/out direction, has a light built into it, sensor lights that let you know when the winch is getting hot and magnets that let you stick the handle on any metal surface. I did change the steel cable out for synthetic rope and put a much better hook on the end. Lots more to this but you won't be disappointed in this at all.

So far great product. Mounted to a JK with a bulldog winch plate in a JT Gladiator steel bumper. Fitment was perfect and I did not need to relocate the air canister. Winch arrived well packaged with all needed hardware and great installation directions including photos. Have not used the winch heavily yet but so far I would recommend it for others without reservation.

Easy to wire and install. On first attempt to operate the remote was stuck in the plug and would not unplug. I had to manipulate to the press to release button which broke off trying to remove remote. But it did eventually come off and I was able unplug the remote. I will be calling to get a replacement remote and power supply.

Looks and works great.

Overall great build quality, love how there are mutlile set-ups.Would highly recommend and would buy again, customer service at smitty bilt isn't the greatest but serviceable.

Beautiful winch, both functionally and appearance. An excellent buy.

Instructions lack detail. Install is moderate. Winch works well.
