it dose through sparks but could be better

You get what you pay for.
Look nice, but the rod is not held well in the handle and separates under little use. You cannot put enough pressure onto the rod to get a big enough spark for ignition of fire. And once separated, it will likely fail to reconnect completely as the threads are weak. Otherwise, the rods themselves work. Apart from the handle.

The orange one arrived without a compass. I've asked for a replacement but have heard nothing.

We ordered to go camping with or we would of returned. But only recieved one and there was suppose to be 2 in package.

Faulty compass
Compass only works when the metal lanyard ring is removed, then it points due east.
