Tosowoong Propolis Natural Pure Essence, Brightening Treatment, 2.02 fl oz. (60 ml)

I really don't wanna lower the rating on this product but I just may have too. I have dry sensitive acne prone skin. And I am 18 years old. I bought this because I wanted to kinda have that 10 step skin care regime. I had really clear skin (literally the clearest it's ever been for a very long time I was even approaching my period and it was SUPER CLEAR) and I used this product I noticed my cheeks were more stubby appearing and more red. I wanna believe I am purging but I noticed more pimples and my nose and lip mustache area began to burn immensely. It was so bad to the point even my sensitive skin fixer face mask wasn't working. It's only been 2 days since this happened. I am going to do a test and stop using this at least for 1 week and analyze my skin patternHere is my routine1. Cleanse face with African black soap(Use microfiber brush then use vibrating silicon brush)2. Dermaroll face3. Apple Cider Vinegar toner all over face to kill any lingering bacteria or germs4. (FACE MASK) - Either Pink clay, Glacial Clay, Rhassoul clay activated charcoal5. Vitamin C serum6. Vitamin E oil 42,000IU7. Tea tree oil all over face8. Fresh Aloe vera gel on problem areas.9. I also take Vitamin A 10,000IU in aid to help my acne which I also think is a very huge part of it.Masks I use: Dr pore tightner Pink Clay, Dr pore Tighter Glacial clay (both are Korean skin care and had worked wonders for my face in clearing out my pores and shrinking them)One of the steps would be the essence in this but we're gonna see. I am coming to learn that maybe the 10 step isn't for everyone. I know honey had worked very well for me in the past. I really do wanna try the green tea essence but I don't wanna risk it. What I'm going to do is replace this step by using Green tea and honey face masks to get the best of both worlds. I'll update you guys and tell you how it went.Update: Patch recovery is taking a while but has healed up alot since using Aloe vera/Green Tea/Honey masks. The reaction has given me acne more further along my cheeks that is a look of cystic acne which I never had before. I tried doing some research to find out if anybody else had reacted to this. (THE EGF) and not much findings but a few blog sites saying people has had this and once they stopped using it their skin returned to normal. My skin is most definitely tender and young it's going to be a while, I am now adding a JADE ROLLER and Pomegranate seed oil to use to replace my missing "essence" part of my skin routine. Because EGF digs really deep into the layers of skin since it's cellular level liquid it's going to take some time to surface is what im thinking. I'm going to guess in about 2 weeks my skin would be flourished and prestine.

I do like this product. I have "dehydrated combination skin" meaning I have dry flaky skin under a constant layer of oil on top of clogged pores and acne. I have used this as an essence in my 10(ish) step Korean face care routine for over 2 months. It definitely moisturizes my skin and absorbs well, but I don't think it has done much to even my skin tone (red blotchy spots are still red and blotchy). I would recommend it and buy it again, but I'm looking for another product to even out my skin tone.

I just started getting into a serios skin care routine. I've added this to it for morning and evening use and I love it! Is light enough I can wear it under makeup. Makes my skin feel soft, and has a very faint/ pleasant smell.

Light texture, absorbs well, very subtle smellMoisturizes good

Here are the active ingredients: Propolis Extract / Royal Jelly Extract / Honey Extract / Adenosine / Niacinamide. Need I say more? Not sure it can get much better than that. Granted, I am new to the world of K Beauty, but I've been obsessed with skin care for a veeery long time. So when I saw the ingredients in this product- I was elated. I have sensitive/combination skin that is prone to redness and am prone to per-menopausal breakouts. No, I didn't win the skin lottery.So I need products that will sooth, heal, balance the skin and that won't break me out. This does all of that. I do use this as part of my K beauty regimen so can't speak to it's effectiveness as a stand alone product. But in tandem with my entire regimen this stuff has balanced my skin and taken away the red, flaky patches caused by the cold wind. Absolutely love it!Update: 2 months later: Now that my skin is in better shape, I think it's time to choose a different essence. This was great for resolving Winter dryness/redness. So I'll keep this in my arsenal and try something new!
