Nice pants for field hunting especially for burrs and foxtail!Get into trudging through heavy briars like blackberry not really heavy enough for something like that!Great for dove hunting imho!

These are not thorn proof! Very comfortable and better than just regular jeans but they are thin and thorns have no problem sticking you.

My husband works for a tree company, and he was tired of getting his jeans ripped and torn by the brush. He had other pairs of these types of pants for bird hunting and decided to try them for work. They worked fantastic. But when he went to buy more of them he realized how much the price had increased in the last 10 years or so. He could not find a pair in any store that was under $60.These pants are even better than the ones he got in the store all those years ago. They have a nice elastic waist to them and the canvas on the back of the leg comes up higher than the canvas on his old ones did. Even the guys at his work asked where he got the pants from. He can walk through pucker brush and burrs all day long and not get a scratch on his legs!

Used on 2 hunts so far both with relatively heavy briar. They definitely keep you from getting pricked, but they tend to pick easily themselves. Pretty heavy wear after the initial 2 hunts, but very comfortable.

These are a great quality and are true to size fit.

The additional layer of material is really not tough or durable enough for use in "real" briars. If you're going through high grass or brush where you *might* run into *some* pokey stuff, these are ok. If you're going into the really thick and nasty stuff though, these do not hold up well. Your legs will get scratched up and the pants get snagged and torn up pretty quickly.

These pants are awesome

The first gen were stiff denim pants. They were great but these with the stretching material are much better. Great briar protection and great durability.

I really enjoy the fit and comfort of these pants. They fit snug but provide excellent stretch for the movement involved in upland hunting.Time will tell how durable they are - but if they last this upcoming season, then I will certainly buy a second pair!
