a book - was a serious disappointment even for $ 3
This product - I refuse to call the measly 20 pages, give or take, a book - was a serious disappointment even for $ 3.99. The product fails to provide any relevant information on the particular BDSM subculture and is by no means the guide it claims to be, which is not really surprising, considering many of the 14 "chapters" are barely a page in length. It is also quite apparent that nobody bothered to proof-read this text. On the other hand, considering Mistress Harley's career as a money domme, am I really surprised that I was ripped off?

Not much of a book, more like a pamphlet
It seems like a good START to a book. Some chapters have a fair enough bit of information, but most "chapters" are only a page or two and only breeze over the topic they are meant to cover. There is VERY LITTLE detail or instruction. There is a simple begging exercise routine, but nothing for advancing further. I was hoping for something of a brief start to the diet plan Mistress Harley has on her website, but nothing on diet. Makeup is all talk, only a handful of product recommendations, and no pictures directing you how to do the basics. Half the book is erotic short stories. There is a lot of reference material in the back which is nice.Honestly this "book" feels more like an outline or a rough draft for a bigger piece. There is SO MUCH MORE that could have been done here, just adding to the chapters. I feel like Mistress Harley started on chapters got too horny writing the chapters and had to take a break and make a half hearted attempt to close each chapter and move on. However considering how poor the book pickings are in this genre it's not too bad.

A mixed bag of content - not what I was hoping for
The chapters here are very short, more dominatrix manifesto than guide book, but there is some eroticism to it, and the chapters on makeup, workouts, shopping, and grooms are pretty solid, with some really good tips and advice.Where it fell short for me was in the real stories from Mistress Harley's slaves. For better or worse, they do read as if they are authentic letters, but (for me, at least) the sincerity was not enough to make up for the poor writing and lack of detail.
