ColumbiaBoys' PFG Bahama Long Sleeve Shirt

I ordered this for my 2 yo son. I ordered the XXS bc the size chart says XXS if for sizes 4/5.. my son is bigger for a 2 yo so I thought it might fit him loosely so he had room to grow.. when I got the shirt and opened it the tag said 2T… needless to say it’s very snug on him and I’ll be returning it.. the shirt itself is exactly what I’m looking for just too small. Hope this helps someone else when ordering..

Do NOT pay $35-50+ for this shirt though! If you’re flexible on color, you can search your size and find the same shirt for much less. The price changes randomly, so put an alert on it to tell you when the price drops!High quality and held up well after heavy outdoor play in the dirt, mud, sun and beach. I knew this shirt would be big since the smallest size was xxs (listed also as 2t) but I’ll say it’s oversized, and was fairly huge on kiddo last year. He was really wearing 24 mo items mostly when the older picture was taken. THIS year, he wears 3T/4t and this shirt is still quite oversized. I’ll clarify that, even though it’s big, it’s still very lightweight fabric, and because of the roll tabs, I can cuff the sleeves way up and it still works, just a little more of a dress than a shirt 😆If you are looking for a tailored “mini fisherman/preppy” look, I would size down. If, like us, you have a kiddo who is mostly naked all the time, and this shirt is for the utility purpose of sun protection, then it’s totally fine when it’s a little bit big, and in fact, is very serviceable to buy big and let kiddo grow into it.Fabric has a great finish that feels good but repels most splashes until you are actually wearing it IN the water and it gets saturated.This review is technically for the shirt we bought last year, but we just purchased another in the light gray color to have one to alternate 😉

Nice and cool. Well made. However, it is frustrating that running the same search with "girl" instead of "boy" ends up with no shirts even remotely similar to this. I have a women's shirt like this and my daughter wanted to match me in my pink shirt. Little girls like to stay cool in the summer too.This is the size "small". My daughter is 6 and in the 40th percentile. She should be able to wear it next year as well.

Bought this for my 10 yo when we visited the desert for some hiking. It was perfect. Lightweight, protected from the sun, and he loved the light teal color.
