Arrived crushed
This box set is beautiful. I am really disappointed that the set I got waa crushed. The spines, box, and cover of books 1-7 are all damaged and bent. It was shipped with wonderful, crush-proof packaging, so I have to guess it happened at the warehouse. If I had bought this as a gift, I wouldn't be able to give it without being embarrassed.

These books are timeless. We are on our third generation!
These books are timeless. I read a few of them and all of the Nancy Drew books as a child of 11 years or so. Then my son read his share. Now they are on the third generation. I bought the first in the series for him for Christmas and when he told me he was on the last book of that series, I ordered this set for him. I am an avid reader and wanted to spark that in him. Since he is on his sixth book, I feel they have done the job. Books allow you to escape into wonderful places!

NOT the original Hardy Boys
I thought these were the same Hardy Boys books as the originals just updated packaging or maybe updated vocabulary or mentions of technology. That is not the case. These are new adventures with quite a few details I find inappropriate for my 9 yr old.As stated in a Plugged In review of the first book titled Secret of the Red Arrow: “...Neal suggests a guy named Pett may have been involved in attacking him since Neal ended up kissing Pett's girlfriend at a party“Lying: Since Frank and Joe aren't supposed to be sleuthing, they keep all of their detective work confidential and deny everything. They say they don't consider it lying, just being prudent. Frank says they feel a little guilty for not being straight with their dad. They sneak out late one night to investigate at Neal's house, later telling their parents a friend was in a car accident and they went to see him. When their dad asks if they're investigating again, they say, "Of course not." When Olaf catches the boys sleuthing, they lie and tell him they're working on a civics project. Frank dramatically fakes an ankle injury so he and Joe can distract Aunt Trudy and return to check out a crime scene. When Trudy sees him walking, he says he bent it another way, and it was miraculously healed.”

My son loves these
My son loved to read, then went through a phase he decided he wasn't as in to it anymore.... But his book choices were stuck in 2nd grade, I feel. Some of the age-appropriate reads for him weren't his idea of a good book. So, after trying a few books and having a bored-stiff reader, these have changed that. I highly recommend!!

Cofanetto regalo - vale il prezzo
Incoraggia la letteratura nei ragazzini. Il cofanetto lo rende perfetto come idea regalo. Acquistato per un bambino molto proficiente in inglese ed era molto felice.
