Kitchen Chief Wt-1 Meat Thermometer

I found this thermometer to be very accurate. I tested it against two other thermometers, and it measured temperature the same as the one I've been using for months, so I would definitely trust it. It is important to me to cook my meat to the correct temperature and not to overcook and dry out the meat, and I am absolutely not a chef, so I rely on an accurate meat thermometer. I would trust this one.I had no problem using this thermometer, and once I was finished with it, it is easy to clean the probe end. Once it's dry, it fits nicely into a plastic protective sleeve that has a handle on it just like a pen would, so that you can hook it to your shirt pocket. That will be a handy feature for my husband during barbecues.This thermometer uses a watch battery, and there was one included, so I was able to use it straight out of the package. I always appreciate it when the batteries are included! You can set it to work in Celsius or Fahrenheit, and the LED was easy to read. If you forget to turn it off, it will turn itself off, saving the battery. It takes 40 minutes for this feature to kick in, however. I think 5 minutes would have been better. Other than that, the only change I would make to this design would be to add a backlight so that I could read the display easier in low light.I received the thermometer at a discount in return for my honest and unbiased review.
