A great bike compared to others in this price range
I'm going to write this review in stages.[CONDITION]Received in new condition with only minor cosmetic damage to the backrest and right front handlebar. The backrest has a slight tear on the seam while the right handlebar has a white unknown material on it that can't be removed. Contacted customer support regarding the backrest and they will be sending a replacement. I decided against replacing the front handlebar to prevent any damage to the internal wires during replacement. Will update review upon receipt of replacement part.[ASSEMBLY]Assembly took 1 hour and 15 minutes with two people. This can be assembled by one person but it's easier with two. The instruction manual is clear, well written, and detailed. It provides accurate pictures, diagrams, and instructions. All of the hardware comes separated and labelled for easy identification. This bike doesn't require assembly of the magnetic flywheel. It's preassembled from the factory. Installing the side handlebars was the biggest obstacle. If you have a socket wrench I would advise using it for this step. The bolt is located at a difficult angle for the supplied tools to reach. A socket wrench will allow you to install the side handlebars more easily; though the included tools will do the job.The exception to my aforementioned praise is the adjustment of the seat position. The owners manual provides no instructions on how to adjust the sliding seat mechanisms. I contacted Body Champ support who advised that this model's seat could not be adjusted. Upon further inspection, my husband was able to determine how to properly adjust the seat. To do so, please follow these directions.[SLIDING SEAT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS]In order to adjust the seat, you must 1st unscrew the 2 knobs and washers underneath the seat cushion until they come all the way off and you will need to lift the seat up entirely. The bolt that the knobs come off of will then need to be adjusted either by pushing them forward or backward depending on if you need more leg room or less. The closer they are to the front of the bike, the more leg room you will have, and vice versa, if you push them further away, the closer your legs will be to the peddles.Once you have the seat where you think you would like it, you will then need to place the bolts back into the corresponding holes on the main frame. You will then need to screw the knobs and washers back onto each bolt. Test the seat position and repeat and adjust as needed.[INITIAL OPINIONS]Our main concern is that the heart rate sensor appears at least 20 to 40 beats per minute too low. With varying degrees of difference and no causality. The magnetic flywheel makes very faint sounds during resistance transitions. (Most comparable, yet quieter than an electric can opener) Peddling makes minimal sounds.(Comparable to a fan on low speed) Living on the upper level of a 2 story apartment, it was important for us to have a quiet bike. The control console does not have a backlight, meaning in can be difficult to read the display in poorly lit rooms. The console itself is easy to use and the instructions provided are thorough enough for easy understanding. The resistance levels are comparable to the expensive machines at our local gym. (24 Hour Fitness). In my non-professional opinion, this bike feels like it has more resistance than the equivalent equipment at the gym. This bike appears to not be as easy on the knees as compared to its gym counterpart. It's still low impact but the position of your back adds more stress to your knees than is ideal.Adding onto an earlier mention regarding adjusting the seat. If you are sharing this with a partner you might find the seat to be cumbersome to change between use. My husband is 5'10" and I am 5'6". We've compromised the current seat position to meet both of our needs. He feels it's too close while I feel it's too far away, but this prevents us from having to switch it between each use. After about 20 - 30 minutes of use your derrière will be a little sore from use as the cushion isn't very comfortable.I will update this review periodically as I become more familiar with this machine's workout efficiency. We took a gamble ordering this bike as it had no online reviews. I hope my review has helped you with your purchasing decision. If you have any questions about my experience please leave a comment as I'm happy to follow up. Especially due to the lack of information and reviews on this bike.**THIS IS NOT A SPONSORED REVIEW. I PAID FULL PRICE FOR THIS RECUMBENT BIKE**[1 Month Update]: My husband and I have now been using this bike for a month. One thing I forgot to mention in my initial review is that the power cord hooks up to the front of the bike. I would have preferred it to be located on the back. Though, I suppose the front location is better so electrical wires aren't running through the bike. We had to use an extension cord to reach our outlet. One additional concern has risen. If you're pushing over 20 MPH and you adjust the resistance while cycling you will experience a clicking sound. We've found if you pause the workout and let the resistance fully adjust to your change this resolves this issues. To compensate for the uncomfortableness of the seat we use a cushion (ASIN B00SZ1I8ZA). This allows us to cycle for 40-60 minutes before we experience pain. (Instead of 20-30 w/o the cushion.) The heart rate monitor continues to be ineffective. We DID, receive our replacement backrest as promised by customer service. Overall, for the price, we are still enjoying this bike. We couldn't find another bike on the market, in this price range, with these features. We are still confident with our purchase.

Worth the price.
Product arrived quickly with all the parts. Truly the easiest assembly I've ever did and the instructions were well written and clear. The Hardware was packaged in a practical organized manner---best I've ever seen. The revolution of the bike peddling isnt 100% smooth. The bike has a slight rock but maybe resolved with placing a mat underneath. Will revisit review in a month. So far I'm surprisingly satisfied.

Superb exercise bike. I ordered for my husband who loves it,actually uses it.
Very nice for price! This bike is used by my husband who hates to exercise. He loves it& uses it daily. I can't tell you how many thousands of dollars of exercise equipment we've gone through. All were donated after week but this bike is user friendly, comfortable, very inexpensive, looks much more expensiveDr Toula Milios Guilfoyle

Great so far
So far works great but NOT IDEAL FOR TALL PEOPLE unlike what was suggested by other reviews...with seat all the way back- knees hit handle bars for me 6’9”. At 6’2” wife barely cleared them. Easy fix was to remove.Setup takes about an hour. Goes faster with a second set of hands to hold the frame steady.

Buyer Beware
I hate to have to give this item one star but it does not work for my wife (5' 4") because she cannot reach the peddles properly with the adjustments all the way forward. We purchased the bike at the suggestion of her Physical Therapist. There was not anything in the description suggesting the height a person should be to use this bike. Assembly of the bike went well, pretty much as described. All parts required for assembly were there, not shorted anything. I contacted their Customer Service Department and explained the problem and their reply was to adjust the seat. I told them that ever with the seat all the way forward that it was not acceptable. Their reply was that they were sorry. Now I too am sorry that I bought this product. I plan on contacting Amazon for any suggestions that they may have.

Excellent bike, great value for the price
This is the third recumbent exercise bike that I have purchased and used on a regular basis. It is by far the best one of the three based on price, features, comfort, and sturdiness. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the monitor which tracks distance, calories burned, time etc. is a little hard to read.

recumbant
Solid bike however i have to take a star off for the packaging looking like it was attacked by a weedeater on arival.(i know this is the shiiping company not seller but ots still part the experence) I am going to have to take another star for no backlight on display my old eyes strain to read the controller. The magnetic drive works excellent and i would give it a extra star for that alone if the frame wasnt marginally wobbley. But over all i think is a fair value for the price with a prompt and responsive seller it just lacks any exceptionalism

High quality, not high price
I never write reviews, but this bike exceeded my expectations and i had to share. The instructions were kind of hard to follow, but most of the bike is pre-assembled so there are only a few screws you need. It is very sturdy and seems high quality. Especially for the price. It is exactly what i was looking for and i could not be happier. The tension is controlled by the display, not some knob. It comes with many pre-programmed routines. Even has a cup holder, which many bikes do not.
