UPDATE: just finished a simple timegrapher check of this watch's movement:dial up: +10 s/dcrown up: -3 s/dcrown down: +2 s/dcrown 90-degrees: +13 s/ddial down: +5 s/dcrown 270-degrees: -14 s/dusing these figures, i can now keep this watch running to within +/- 5 seconds a day by leaving it run overnight on the nightside in the right position to subtract or add time!ORIGINAL REVIEWexcellent bargain for an automatic and hand-wind 200m dive watch in its price rangesome points:- watch band in on a par with some of the cheaper Seiko 5s, but is much more comfortable- push-pin adjustment to remove links was easy- bracelet is a little 'clickety click,' but i like a tighter fit on the wrist when swimming, so bracelet is silent for me- time and date are very easy to set - then 8->12->8 cycle to rapid advance the date worked well- hand-wind is a definite bonus and worked well- movement keeps very good time - no need for regulation!the movement, a 2416B, uses a 42-degree lift angle and runs at 19,800 beats per hour - out of the box the watch performs very well - see the attached pic of the watch being analyzed by the open-source Tg timegrapher application running under CrossOver under Mac OS X Yosemite- 'coin-edge' bezel is a bit thinner than i'd like, but the internal spring wire holds it in place with no movement (will only use it time steaks on the grill)- replacement bezels are readily available here and elsewhere- lume is OK on the hands, but no Seiko or even Casio quality- seconds hand is a 'meat ball' - a feature i find eminently desirable and usefulbought this watch as a 'fun' watch, not to impress anyone but i ended up being impressed by the value!

It's inexpensive...and that's good.For an automatic you can't beat the price. If the bezel rotation was better it would be a 4 star and if the band was a bit better a 5 star.

Love the detail. Chain link band is of great quality. Can't wait to grab my next Vostok.

watch was a peace of crap

I had to buy a watch repair set, a screw dislodged and I had to put it back. Also had to adjust the speed setting, and once I did all that, this is an awesome watch! With a little tinkering, it’s solid!

I think this is my first ever review on Amazon. Never felt compelled to review an item before this watch.I have some nice watches. Seiko, Tissot, Citizen and topped off with a Breitling. On a whim I bought this and haven't taken it off since.I adore it! It's cheap and quirky and I love looking at it.Just ordered a bezel and insert from Dagaz to dress this thing up. This just may be the gateway drug to more Vostoks I'm afraid.EDIT: Actually it is. Just ordered another Amphibian and have been scouring the internet for different models. Wish Amazon had more of these based out of the US and Prime shipping.
