So I purchased this UV blacklight flashlight to tackle my bathroom cleaning routine, thinking I’d finally achieve that "sparkling clean" vibe everyone talks about. Living in the southwest means scorpions are basically my neighbors—except they don’t bring over casseroles. So, when I stumbled upon the LOSSDAY Blacklight Flashlight, I figured it was time to level up my defense against these sneaky arachnids.Let me tell you, this flashlight is a game-changer. Good price for a very bright UV light. Super helpful after a multi-day visit from a visiting pet. It lit up a lot of the room and made it easy to find all the spots our furry guest on pretty much everything -- carpet, upholstery, even solid surfaces that had splatter on it. Just for fun, I took it into the kids bathroom -- whoa momma. A great tool if you have pets and need to find that stinky spot, or if you just want to be grossed out. It is a little big though, but the number of bulbs are worth the size because of the beam it casts. So far, the battery drain doesn't seem bad and it is not throwing off too much heat.

If you live in an area with scorpions, this is a must. I'm in southern California and in a rural area. In the summer, we see quite a few scorpions at night and it can be concerning walking the dog or just walking around in general depending on the shoes you're wearing. In the summer in CA, it's not unusual to go around in flip-flops at night so taking the blacklight makes me feel more comfortable. If you don't know, scorpions glow under blacklight. It's actually pretty cool to see, but it makes them stand out. And it's not something you would confuse for another bug, these things glow bright! I've had this blacklight flashlight for a couple summers now, and it works very well. It has a strong wide beam so you can illuminate a decent area around yourself as you walk.I would say the only con is, I wish this were a rechargeable flashlight. This take six (6) AA batteries which seems like a lot. So when it's time to change them, hopefully you have a bunch on hand otherwise you'll be out of luck.

This seems to be a good UV light. I bought it to help with additional detection and clean-up of bodily fluids. We had a family member fall and get a severe injury to the body, which caused excessive bleeding and a trip to the hospital. The blood was all over the floor, which got cleaned up, but since it was right on a floor joint which met to tile, there continued to be fluid coming out from under that joint whenever it was cleaned. I bought this so that I could make sure all it was off the floor. This light really does work wonder and work great. It's bright, and has a concentrated but wide beam, so you can see the area distinctly, and fix the issue. I was able to pick up all kinds of marks on the floors, walls, doors, and door handle areas. The body is made of metal and has good construction. It's a good size to fit in the hand, and has nice ergonomics. There's added checkering in the handle area, and flat spots, to help with gripping the flashlight. All of this is appreciated. The end cap also has a nice lanyard so you can let it hang from your wrist. All around good product. Just be careful of the plastic battery carriers - Usually those are the first thing to harden, crumble, and break.

The light works great. However, the flashlight requires 6 AA batteries! Why not use larger battery capacity and fewer counts. I’ll go broke keeping this flashlight operable. Think about finding a rechargeable one instead.
