works great
I had my doubts about this dust shroud, but it turns out to be a good deal and works as it should.I first tried it on my HF 4.5A grinder, and it fit without adapters, but the diamond blade was inside the brush on the edges of the shroud. Next I tried it on my Porter-Cable PC750AG variable speed grinder. Again, used no adapter collars and the diamond disk protruded slightly beyond the brushes which is what the manual says should be. I am not sure how to use additional washers as stated to use as the disk wears. I hope someone will comment on this. It seems to me that adding washers under the clamping collars might be dangerous.I gave it a trial run on the job I bought it for which is about 25 feet of a poorly poured seam on my patio. As you can see from the photo, it took down 1/2" of concrete in less that 30 seconds, with no wear on the diamond disk and near zero dust got past the shroud--exactly what I hoped for.I can't vouch for other models that use the adapter rings. You have to be patient and get the shroud aligned, tight, and level with the diamond disk for it to work correctly. I am sure the shroud will also be very useful for flap disks, diamond blades, and metal cutoff disks for capturing dust. The extra vacuum adapter works with my vacuum hose. The skinnier adapter must be for some weird hose diameters. The wider adapter works well with standard 1 1/4" hose ends, but also tends to pull off the shroud port easily, so you have to keep an eye on it, or perhaps add a band clamp. The diamond disk seems like it will last. I would like to see Aidelife offer the 4.5" disk separately for when it wears out. The diamond disk comes with a thin adapter which was not necessary for the two clamping collars on the HF and Porter-Cable grinders. Just a standard 7/8", 22mm arbor. All in all, money well spent!

It works well enough
The shroud does its job of containing the dust. Its a bit of pain to work with if you want to switch things around or switch to another tool mid way. The collar of the shroud takes a bit of time to work with. The rubber attachment provides a size attachment to help connect your shop vac, but it doesn't stay on as its just held on by the rubber friction. I ended up not using it and just using painters tape to attach my shop vac hose. Fortunately I bought a shop vac hose extension and downsized my hose diameter and it lined up just fine. The diamond cup wheel didn't fit my Ryobi angle grinder. Totally useless to me. I went and bought a Rigid brand diamond cup wheel and I was off and grinding.Be careful with the area with the sliding window on the shroud, My grinding wheel ate a bit off the bottom bristles. Towards the end of the project I would leave that part of the shroud open just a bit so I could see grinding corners in the room.

Quality
This tool has decent built quality, very solid. I used it on my Bosch 1375A angle grinder with a 4 1/2" diamond cup wheel to get rid of the thinset. It dramatically reduced the level of dust, love it!! I didn't need to do any duct tape hack, the height was perfectly aligned with diamond wheel surprisingly! Also, I bought the Shop-Vac Universal Tool Adapter for my vacuum.Once I got it fitted and the vacume attached, I was off to the races. I nearly captured all of the dust from what would have been a ton. I really think this tool is indespensible if you are going to do any grinding. And this AIDELIFE delivers. Right price and quality.

It Works Great
This Aidelife dust shroud works great. It comes with numerous circular spacers for adapting the shroud to the grinder. I used a HFT 4 1/2” Bauer angle grinder and I found an adapter that fit perfectly.. The adapter goes on to the same snub that your scatter guard attaches to. The shroud has the same tightening lever found on your scatter guard.. Comes with wrench to tighten the lever.. Excessive tightness is not needed. You should not deform the clam by over tightening the nut. I didn’t have to mess with the shroud the whole time I used it. The vacuum attachment had numerous adapters. It worked great on my old 16 gallon Craftsman shop vac and my smaller Rigid vacuum. The bristles on the bottom of the shroud are very stiff and held up to all of my abuse.. I used the supplied arbor spacer and it still looks like the diamond cupped wheel I was using was recessed into the shroud to far. It still worked well and provided an absolute dust free operation. As my grinding wheel wore down, the bristles did have greater contact with the floor requiring more pressure to grind.. The shroud has a black colored segment that can rotate out of the way allowing grinding right up to baseboards, walls or cabinets and still provide adequate dust control..A must have tool for any indoor grinding.

Worked ok, but requires some tweaking
Decent price for the item and itended up doing the job ok. Grinding blade seemed to go dull relatively fast but was sufficient for my small area. Attaching the cover was a little tricky and didn't quite fit right on my cheap black and decker grinder. Attaching the shop vac hose was a chore. The adapter pieces didn't fit the hose so I had to jerry-rig an attachment. Not bad for the price, I suppose

So far so good!
I only used for a couple times to remove thin set mortar it works perfect.

Good for dust, it sucks. Literally.
I used this with a diamabrush cutter and a Bauer brand angle grinder to strip paint off my deck.At first I thought it wasn’t working because i didn’t notice a reduction in dust until one time I forgot to turn the shop vac on and I was covered in dust after using for a few minutes. So it’s safe to say that this thing helped considered I wasn’t covered in dust from there on out when the shop vac was running.Occasionally a big paint chip would clog the vent but for doing light sanding it definitely helped reduce the debris on my deck afterwards. But it’s not 100 percent going to reduce dust, there will always be some left. But overall it helps.Good tool addition for the price, came with plenty of adapters and fittings to make it work on most grinders I’m guessing.

Does the job plus a good price!
Made of good quality plastic with some metal fittings and a brush around the base to facilitate better dust extraction. Comes with 2 tools to tighten its clamp and one for the angle grinders blade, several sizes of collar attachments aiming to make it a universal fit, and a dust extraction adapter.Fitting, easy enough although, specific adjustments maybe required for what ever machine you have, in my case I needed 2 M14 spacer to allow the blade to be correct height to reach the surface.Prepping hallway floor for tiles I find a high spot up to 4mm which I need to reduce, hence the purchase...Connected my old Bosch grinder to a vacuum via a cyclone, and so pleased I did as there was a lot of dust for a small area. The blade guard has a slide opening allowing close use to edges of floor, when using this function the dust extraction doesn't really work which is understandable...For the price of £25 I think this bit of kit is excellent, however, for a professional and constant user I'm not sure how long the kit would last?

Fits my hitachi/Hikoki brushless 115mm grinder
It was a bit fiddly at first but when I found the right washer and tightened the bolt up a bit it did fit quite snug but also allowed me to rotate the cover around the grinder when I let the quick release go. I’m planning to use it with the rubber disc with fibre sanding pads as seen In the photo, it also comes with washer to hold the disc flush with the shroud. I haven’t tested it yet too see how well it collects the dust but so far I’m happy with the purchase, this is the second Aidlife attachment I’ve purchased and they seem well made at a good price too.

Easy to fit and does a great job
I couldn't fault this product. I found it easy to fit and it took 3 -4 kilos of unwanted material into my dust extractor in a couple of hours allowing for breaks and emptying the extractor. I was working indoors and attached to an extractor had no clouds of dust and very little mess. Great product.

Aidelife Dust Shroud - A bit of a faff!!
I bought this product to smooth down a hump I had on a new concrete slab that was laid, it stretched about 2ft wide by about 11ft long. I'd bought a grinder disc and wanted the shroud to cut down on the dust. It fitted to my Screwfix hoover lovely but the issue I had was fitting the shroud. What a nightmare, I needed to fit one of the collars but it required quite a lot of brute force. The best thing I found was to remove the clamp and use force to open the neck until one of the collars fitted. It was also very difficult adjusting the height of the shroud so the disc touched the floor and the bristles of the shroud just covered it. Overall it greatly reduced the dust but didn't eliminate it. A word of caution if you can set up a cyclone bin in between the hoover and the angle grinder, do it! My hoover filter became clogged after about 10 mins, and ended up cleaning it at least 4 times before I finished the job. Overall it did the job but was not easy to set up and use.
