So much fun!
I am so happy that I bought this. I collect vpets, I have since '97. This is so much not relaxing than Tamagotchi. I don't have to stress while I'm at work about taking care of the house, there's no time in the game, it's active when you want to play, and not when you don't. The mini games are cute, and i like that the goal seems to be collecting clothes and decorating rooms.I would have liked less visual glitches and better physical craftsmanship. There's some screen flickering and such on transition screens which is mildly annoying, and might be why the toy does come with an epilepsy warning for photosensitive users. The slide mechanism for the house screen feels really cheap, and flimsy. These are pretty minor issues though, and kind of make sense though given the extremely low price point. As an adult who collects and enjoys this style of toy, I would have rather payed slightly more for slightly better materials.

Cute, entertaining and nostalgic
I like the design and the games included, also the character design. Of course it can become somewhat repetitive but I think it's a good virtual dollhouse with a lot of content. I enjoy it a lot! and it goes to my collection.

A very small device with a surprising amount of content
I first saw this device revealed that the Toy Fair 2020, and was immediately interested. Devices like these aren't very common these days, and as a V-Pet enthusiast I just had to try one myself. First thing I noticed, this device is very cheap for what it is, as devices like the Tamagotchi On have gotten me used to electronics with full color screens costing 60 dollars or more, but this is just half that price! Now make no mistake, this isn't a Tamgotchi, nor does it function like one. While you do make sure the characters on the device eat and sleep, they don't need constant attention, and you can play with them at your own pace. There are three characters, each with their own careers, and you can swap between them at any point. The gameplay focuses around performing minigames to earn coins, which can in turn be used to purchase clothes, supplies, decorations or even expansions for your house. The thing I like most about the device is the animations, as they did a great job of including animations for everything, and they look great! The screen is very nice and vibrant, despite its small size, and it shows off the colorful world very well. The sound design is also solid, and while not being anything mind-blowing, it's nice that there are actual sound effects as opposed to just simple beeps. You character can even say hi to you! There are a few things that I feel could be better though. The sliding mechanism used for the house is pretty stiff, and requires more force than you may expect. They aren't nice metal rails, just pure plastic, hence the resistance. The screen also can have some visual glitches here and there, but thankfully those are limited to transitions, and don't come up in the actual gameplay. Also make sure you have a few screwdrivers handy when you get yours, as it took me a few tries to find one that fit properly to open up the battery compartment. I also would like to see more splashes of color, particularly on the buttons and logo. These are all minor gripes though, and definitely don't take away from the game itself.Overall, the device is very impressive, especially for this price point. It will make a great gift for little girls, and I agree with the box's recommendation of Age 6 and above, though older girls may be less fascinated it the closer they get to their teens. It's definitely very cute, and I look forward to seeing more from this series!

Tamagotchi meets Pixel Chix & EverythingGirl (dot) com!
I'm a 90s baby and collector of vpets + LCD toys since I was first introduced to them as a kid. I used to spend hours online using a clunky PC on dialup to play games on Kiddonet, EverythingGirl and Flashplayer. This little gadget reminds me of those early 2000s games. The colors, fashions (pink bell bottoms!) and even the body language of the girls (hands on hips looking side to side) reminds me so much of the vibrant and snarky "Girlitude" of that era. This is a collectors MUST-HAVE especially if you missed out on getting the Pixel Chix! What makes it newtro is the blend of retro and modern aspects: the girls order everything online and take selfies throughout the day.My First Impression:Gorgeous shell! The mint green, mother of pearl blue and pastel purple feel dreamy and are easy on the eyes. The little carabiner string is detachable.Gameplay:DON'T SELL YOUR WINDOW 😹As soon as you start the game, the cursor may land in the window and if you click it, a coin appears in the bubble. If you click that, your window goes bye-bye and you'll have to buy a new one.The girls say hi, bye and yeah! It's so cute. You can play with either or all 3 (separately) straight out of the package after inserting 2 AAA batteries into the back. Select the girl to check her status or switch between the 3 of them. Each has her own career-based mini game in which you can make money! If you play a mini game 4 times and get all 4 smileys on the scratch off card, you get $1000.If you click the couch and choose the phone, your girl will call a friend (or her sister?) who will then come to visit. She will ring the doorbell and then come inside. The girls will chat, hang out and then the NPC will leave. It's always a different friend generated from the various character options and it's always fun to see what the friend will look like. The sewing game and the cooking game I found the hardest because you literally have to guess what materials or ingredients you need to make an item or food, and even if you get them all right, you can still score only 1 star. I really don't get how it works. You make money each time so if you're bad at the games you can at least still accumulate more than you would after winning a game on a Tamagotchi. You can get up to $600 (or more?) from playing the mini game well.Navigating the rooms is pretty simple. Just click the cursor over to any door and your girl will leave the room and go to the next. To the right of the main starter room is the front door. To the left is the kitchen. Press X while in any room for a zoom view so you can easily select the room you want your virtual doll to go to.Each activity you do will either increase or decrease one of the girl's 4 health stats. When you close the device, you'll see a silhouette animation of the girl in any of the windows and sometimes get a cute song and watch her dance before it goes black. There are even different mini songs!Whoever you're not playing with at the moment will appear as sleeping on the screen that allows you to select which girl you want to play with. Each girl is customizable-- you can change her skin tone, hair color or clothing (tops, bottoms, shoes). Use the laptop to buy new clothes, furniture, pets or materials and ingredients for the mini games. You start with a lot of money (like $10,000) but spend it wisely. It takes a while to build that back up.Pets cost $5000. You can get a cat, dog or hamster and you'll need to take care of it, or it will be no more. Adding furniture to a room with a pet can cause the pet to disappear so I recommend either minimal furniture in the room that has the pet, or buy a whole new room just for the pet and maybe 2 other items. You can buy it back if it disappears. The animations are so smooth and fun. I love when the girls move and their hair flips accordingly. Young girls will enjoy that. When you grab a bite to eat from the fridge, you get a lovely animation cutscene of the girl reaching into the fridge and grabbing food. Getting water and using the microwave also have lovely cutscenes.Be careful which kinds of washing you do, as they deplete different levels of hunger and energy. Same with basic activities. Some items in the store (like the microwave) will have better Stat effects than the stove or fridge. You can reset the entire game in settings so BE CAREFUL!Specs:It's a lot smaller than I imagined, which is perfect! It can fit in a pocket or hang from your purse. When closed, it's roughly the same size as a Tamagotchi Pix except rectangular with a peaked roof. The devices also share a similar thickness (when closed) and weight, so if you have a Pix, you know what to expect here. The box is small and display-ready, and it comes with detailed instructions (even tips that aren't readily figured out, for example, you can press any button when the house is closed to see a silhouette display of what the last girl you played with is up to, like taking a selfie or moving from room to room, complete with sound effects)The screen can be glitchy but for the price and power of this thing? Understandable. Plus it adds to that pre-smartphone y2k vibe. You do NOT lose progress if you change the batteries. Only resetting resets the game. I've changed the batteries twice already and lost no progress. The battery life is quite poor. Depending on what brand of AAA batteries you use, you may get 3 or 4 days of battery life with minimal usage. The material is the clicky-clacky type of plastic that's really lightweight and echoes. It would probably not survive a hard fall. Sounds like an old school keyboard when the carabiner dangles against the back of it. I really like this but other players may not. If you don't like that sound, you can remove the carabiner and replace it with a soft fabric or polyester lanyard. The sliding mechanism isn't the smoothest, as it doesn't use wheels, just rails fitting together (or whatever it's called when one convex slide thing fits into a concave slide thing and they can move against each other in up and down directions. The screen size is slightly smaller than the Pix screen but wasn't a problem for me, even as someone with myopia.

Not turning on
Put in two new AAA batteries and never powered on. Getting my money back / getting a new one. Annoying.

A little bit of nostalgia
A nice little nostalgic device. The grind isn't too bad to acquire all accessories however there is no ability to save progress so when battery dies, the device completely restarts.
