A Nice Review of Patrick's Life and Work
This was an interesting review of Patrick's work and I especially enjoyed reading comments from childhood friends and those who attended his mother's dance academy. I noticed that a couple of details differ from Patrick's account in his book, The Time of My Life. I read The Time of My Life and Lisa Niemi's book, Worth Fighting For, before reading this one and I recommend those over this one.

Nothing Like the Real Thing
This book is written following specific films and time periods of Patrick's life. The author bases her information on interviews from fellow cast members and production people. It is not as in depth or detailed as hearing it out of the horse's mouth so to speak. The better books would be the ones written by both Patrick and his wife Lisa.

Great biography
I am a Patrick Swayze fan from the early days but had never actually learned that much about his personal history. I did listen to his autobiography on audio last year which is what got me interested in this book. I loved listening to his autobiography and am amazed that he wrote it and recited it all while battling cancer and his health was deteriorating. That book was more about his career overall, and this book is more about his "real" life leading up to his career. A must for Swayze fans! Note: there is also a great deal of information about Patsy Swayze and her dance school, which is extra interesting as well as sad that she just passed away.

Fabulous story
I've enjoyed reading and owning most of Patrick Swayze's movies - I have about 20 DVDs and would like more if I could find them. his relationship with Lisa reminds me of my own marriage. I was mostly impressed with his outlook on life. I believe that if more people were to read about his life and adopt his way of life and reasoning we would be a much better world. Patrick Swayze was a true gentleman at all times throughout his life and sets an example for the rest of us. I would recommend reading of this book to everyone. It might wake up a few duds!

One Last Dance
I read this book after reading His & Lisa's book. This book has insights of more of what his family & friends have to say about him. The writer has caught the True Man of Patrick Swayze, and his wife Lisa. It is a very good book. It has a lot of pictures of him and his family & friends. She has written about and told the stories that his costars and friends have known and LOVED him. I like the way she starts out the book with the birth of Patrick and His mom. It also has a chapter about his father and sister that died and how it affected him. I laughed and cried when reading the different parts of his life. He gives a lot of credits to his family and friends. I really enjoy a book that tells the inside of a person and what their feelings were and are.It is a shame that she did not get to have Patrick's insight and comments before he left us. I know that i have a better understanding of him and his family for reading this Great Story. It is well worth every $$. Read You Will Love It. And I ( like I said before ) read it last. Both books go together. Thanks Patrick for being such a great actor, loving husband, son, brother and most of a very kindly gentleman and shearing your life with us. ALL my prayers to YOUR LOVE ONES. I MISS you, looking forward to all your great movies on DVD & TV. Now you can say to "Lisa" instead of "molly"....LOVE.

Dry as dust
Love Patrick Swayze, did not like this book. The author gives us all the facts, even potted biographies of his friends, but does not bring us any nearer to the man. Sycophantic and disappointing.

Patrick Swayze One Last Dance
Read this book in a day and loved it. I am a fan of Patrick's and if you are it is a must, though with his own book coming out soon you may rather save your money for that,as I expect it will be even better than this book. Some great photos and I am glad to own it.
