AmzKitchen Cast Iron Scrubber

My roommates lives off cheese and carbs, which does not make dish duty easy when they sit in a metal pot overnight. The chain mail has been nothing but amazing for getting crap off pots of all kinds. The scrapers have been solid buys as well. The handle makes using my beautiful piece of cookware much easier to work with.UPDATE: Roommate's sister just made mac & cheese that could have doubled as incredibly tasty industrial glue. Chain mail saved yet another weekend from drudgery. Seriously, get this stuff!

This is mostly a decent set. The silicone holder works well to prevent burns. The chainmail scrubber is good for when you get a real cooked on mess. The plastic scrapers haven't been terribly useful though. The slotted scraper doesn't fit my lodge grill pan tight enough for my taste and requires more work than a brush. The flat scraper is similar. I thought it might fit the contours of my biscuit pan but it doesn't quite work as well as I hoped.

If you're going to venture into the cast iron world, it is necessary to gather your own "caregiver" set for your cookware. This one is interesting.The Chain ScrubberThe round chains are thick made of stainless steel. I first thought I wouldn't need this, so I started with the regular dish metal scrubber, which has some pointy edges that were ruining my seasoning and not making the scrubbing difficult.... but this round chained scrubber is fantastic! After you rinse the cast iron for a few seconds, it effortlessly cleanses away any mess. It does the job firmly, yet gently enough as to not be abrasive to the seasoning! We've been using it for a year and it still hasn't shown a sign of rust.Silicone handleThis seems to be made wide enough as to fit many regular skillets. It fits all my skillet handles so well! I love that it makes cooking much safer. This silicone handle is well-made and does not transfer the heat to your hand.The Plastic ScrapersThe distinctly shaped scrapers are supposed to be designed to remove leftover food. I find them unnecessary. The scrubber can already do the same well enough. Actually, I've used the plastic scrapers, and have seen how the plastic easily wears out on the cast iron as I'm trying to "clean" (.... so here I am cooking with cast iron for a healthier living, but cleaning it with a plastic scraper that is wearing out on my cast iron. To me, it's obvious that the worn out plastic is left as a residue in my cast iron, and later on, I'll be eating that in my food--not good.)For this to be the perfect set to sell, I would replace the 2 flat scrapers with a scrub brush instead. The brush is so pleasantly helpful when the cast iron has very little traces of food and only needs some brushing under running water.... I hope this review was helpful to you!

The chain mail scrubber works great. I've used it on a glass lasagna pan, my Griswold Cast Iron fryer and a cookie sheet used to roast veggies. All were cleaned faster and easier than ever before. The silicon pot holder also works great. I love that it fits my frying pans so well.

This set works well in cleaning our Dutch Oven. So far, we've only used the scrapers and mesh scrubber, because we don't have a pan that would use the silicone sleeve for the handle, but the set was a good price. If we get a handled pan, I'm sure we will use the silicone sleeve then.

I wish I had know there was something like this out there a long time ago. I have struggled with my cast iron cookware over the years, trying to keep it in good shape. This kit has everything you need. I do especially love the handle for the skillet. That is so much better than trying to use a potholder or towel. I highly recommend it to anyone who has a cast iron product.

The handle is fine for the stovetop, not so much for pulling out of a hot oven. Scrubber is perfect, works like a charm and cleans up in the dishwasher back to shiny and new

Even though this says it won't ruin the seasoning on your skillet, it did on mine! I had to reseason it which was a bummer. The plastic scrapers are great and the handle cover has been awesome as well. The chainmail, not so much.

The products aren't original and the ad it's confusing as a Lodge original product. Then, the products are some expensive, including that the plastic scraper for grill pan didn't match with the pan reliefs, and the silicone pan holder doesn't isolate as the original accesorie.The normal scraper and the wire mesh works fine.
