Muscovado Organic Raw Cane Sugar, 1 lb, Brown

This sugar is different. I love to cook, and I ordered this expecting raw sugar like the big grains that I've seen in some packets. Well this is much more fine, like sand, and it has the sticky consistency of light brown sugar. It is also has a mild flavor like brown sugar that isn't present in white sugar, and is less subtle than the "Sugar in the Raw." I think a sprinkle of this adds something nice to a pot of chili. I also enjoy a pinch of it (like ¼ the sugar in a recipe) in my baking, because it adds a note of molasses. Distinctive and not run of the mill, I recommend this for those who go bold in the kitchen.

This is pretty good in my coffee! Not too sweet, but that's what I was looking for. I wasn't floored by it, so I cancelled my subscription.

I discovered Muscovado sugar while I was living in Makati, Philippines This product here is just as good and very reasonably priced. Unlike a lot of raw sugar or brown sugar products, this does not cake and stays free flowing.I try not eat sugar at all and generally only use it in tea and oatmeal.

Light brown and not much flavor, though it is at least reminiscent of Muscovado. I much prefer India Tree Dark Muscovado, which is rich and very dark in color.

Very fine ground sugar. It's got a wonderful burnt sugar/molasses-y taste to it. I've found that it's quite good in the cardamom tea that I drink. It's got a more complex/deeper flavor than the raw sugar I usually use and it's definitely better than run of the mill white sugar.

This is real Muscovado. Great product, but a little expensive.
