Dogs love it

I’ve been buying this brand for my 6yr old dog since day 1 of finding her. No issue. However I recently found a puppy and decided to get him on the same food but the puppy version. This is food is much more expensive bc of the freeze dried chunks. However the puppy food advertises that it has them but does not. The puppy food is also more expensive than the adult dog food bc it comes with less. We will be switching brands for both dogs as this error represents in parallel with cheaper packaging and higher prices over the years. The packaging used to reseal.

Our go-to brand that our dog loves, and it was even on sale the last time I bought it. Been using it for years now, and we have no complaints at all.

Purchased this as an overnight delivery since I couldn’t get out of the house and it was perfect. My dog loves Merrick food.

I am thrilled to have stumbled upon this dog food brand after doing tons of research! My furbaby is notoriously picky when it comes to his meals, but this food has truly been a game-changer for us.Not only does it satisfy his discerning palate, but it also provides him with all the nutritions he needs in order to maintain his healthy diet, and EXTREMELY ACTIVE lifestyle. The combination of grain-free ingredients and healthy grains, strike the perfect balance for my pup's diet. Knowing that he's getting a blend of high-quality proteins and wholesome grains gives me a little less to worry about as a dog parent (if you know, you know 🙌🏻). Since introducing this food into my dog's diet, I've noticed a significant improvement in his overall health, & energy levels. His coat is shinier, his digestion seems smoother, and he's more enthusiastic during meal times than ever before.It’s clear that Merrick Backcountry understands what dogs need to thrive, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The fact that my demonic dingo/husky/hybrid is a picky eater and actually enjoys mealtimes now is a testament to the delicious flavor and quality ingredients in this product. I wholeheartedly recommend Merrick Backcountry Raw Infused Grain Free & with Healthy Grains Dry Dog Food to any pet parent, especially those with finicky eaters like mine. It's a winning combination of taste, nutrition, & quality that has earned a permanent spot in our household.However, I do wish they added extra bits of those those freeze dried treats into the formula.

I believe in rotating our dog's food every few months for variety sake and balanced nutrition. It seems to keep them happy and excited about eating. I currently alternate between Wellness Core and Merrick Backcountry Raw. Both brands have an excellent reputation, so I feel good about the quality I am providing, and our dogs like both, but there appears to be a little more excitement when the Merrick bag opens. Maybe it is the raw nuggets, not sure, but they love it, so that is the main thing.I rated this 5 stars because, overall, it is an outstanding product and we have been very pleased. That doesn't mean there aren't a few things to be aware of before purchasing.First off, the raw nuggets are not dispersed well in the bag. You will find them grouped in areas, so it is best to stir the food up a little as you are scooping it out. It's easy and seems to ensure you get a few raw nuggets in most if not all feedings.Secondly, the food is expensive, and the largest bag is only 20lbs versus 24lbs to 30lbs of other brands. I am good with paying for quality, but if I had a wish, it would be nice to have a larger bag with better per-ounce savings.All in all, this is a great food that I would highly recommend to anyone.

I’ve been using this product for years and then a few months ago I tried to switch to a different product that my dogs didn’t like. I had to switch back to this one again. It is expensive but my dogs approve it 👍
