Serial Adapter Works Well
The serial interface card was installed in a PC running Windows 10 Home 32 bit. The installation of the card took just a few minutes. I did find it necessary to install it in the first available PCIe x1 slot. Installing it in the second empty PCIe x1 slot didn't work. That is not an unusual thing to encounter with some interface cards. It took a little while to find the proper setup file on the provided mini-CD because the documentation is outdated and points to a non-existent file. However, once I figured out which setup file to use the installation went quickly and the serial port card appeared in the device manager. Configuring the two new serial ports the card provided took only a minute. The serial card is being used to communicate with an older computer controlled amateur radio HF transceiver. There have been no problems and it is working properly. I was pleased with the overall value of the card.

Worked Perfectly. No Hassles
Worked perfectly from the start. True plug-and-play. Installed the card in a PCIe slot (this one was a x16, but size of PCIe slot does not matter.) The two serial ports on the card showed up as PCIe COM ports, but the driver was not installed. I inserted the driver CD that comes with the card, went to the folder indicated in the instructions; ran the setup application; and that is all it took. The right drivers were installed successfully; ;the card COM ports received port numbers (COM2 and COM3); and they started working flawlessly.A fairly inexpensive card that works perfectly fine. Using Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit.

Windows 10 install semi-automatic
1. Install the hardware 2. Turn on the Computer. 3. Put install CD into Drive ...D?.... 4. (Search for) Open the Device Manager. 5. Look for the Items with the Triangles over them. 6 Click on one of those items. 7. Click on Install Driver. 8. Specify to look for the driver in the computer on the CD Drive...D?.... 9. watch the driver install.... repeat this process for 2nd Item with triangle in device manager. It takes two driver installs per serial port to get both ports to be operational... Observe that both triangles are gone and the ports are listed, typically as Com 3 and Com 4Just don't tell anybody you got these tips in a review....

Works without issue / Well Worth It
Installation in my PC went smooth. Windows 10 didn't automatically install a driver, but when I allowed it to search for the driver on the provided install CD it found it and installed without issue. I bought this to work on my CCNA and connect to Cisco routers via the COM port. I'm using putty and have no issues connecting to 2 few switches at the same time with this card.

Try this way for windows 8.1 if you have problems
This is the second one that I installed. I have been using USB to serial converters, and wanted to install these on my two computers that I use for digital HAM radiio. Item is exactly as described, with full profile attached, and low profile in box. I run Windows 8.1. I always create a restore point before installing any hardware or software, just a thought. Install it, start the computer, go to device manager, and you will see a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it, no problem. Insert the CD, right click on the device in device manager, select update driver, choose select from my computer, select the CD drive, for example E:\, and let windows install the drivers. Refresh your screen, you will still see the yellow triangle, no problem, check your com ports in device manager and one will be installed, right click on the yellow triangle for the device again, and follow the same procedure. Refresh your screen, yellow triangle is gone, check com ports in device manager and you will have two brand new serial com ports. I tried it the way the instructions said, and it did not work. I did it the second time as described above, and no problems, just remember to do it twice. This is the way it worked in a Dell Inspiron tower in a PCI E16 port with windows 8.1, I do not know nor speak for any other computer or OS. Hope this helps someone.

The Device came in prompt order, however the install disk and instructions were extremely unclear for use with Windows 8. In order to get the product to work properly I had to spend time trying to find the correct drivers and installation media via Google and tech forums. Eventually I was able to get everything installed correctly and it works well.

Good low-cost alternative if a D9 serial port is needed.
Units operate well; drivers must be installed for operation with a Dell computer, and driver installation is not intuitive. Indications appear that driver installation has failed, but the units then work properly. Some assembly required for short profile cards.Overall, this is a reasonable and cost effective solution if a serial port is needed. On the second installation, after I learned about the driver installation procedure and ignoring the 'failure' warning, it took only seconds to have a serial port.

IO Crest 2 Port Serial PCI-e 1.0 x 1 with Full and Low Profile Brackets SI-PEX15037

Just worked in my PC no issues

Easy to install and set up.
If you use the low profile bracket you will lose the receptacle for one of the ports. You will need to check to see which port was left plugged in when setting up the card.

I like the flexibility of the low profile option if needed ...
Works a charm in XP. Install a bit frustrating. But stick with it!I like the flexibility of the low profile option if needed in another machine in the future.Replaced an aged Lava DSerial PCI that bit the dust.

Great price/value!
Really good piece of hardware.Don't know why previous comment states that they were unable to install this on Windows 7 x64.I've installed the hardware and it was recognized without any problems and installed the correct drivers for it.There are two driver sets on syba home page, you just have to know which one is this. For me it was the WCH382.Very much recommended!
