I don't know why people give this product such a high score. I received a defective item: top rim has many rusted spots. Inner piece the wire is tilted, and there is a dent on the top. TWO BIG rusted spots right on the spout. Check my picture for details... unbelievable. I can't say this item is made well. Sorry, but I am sending it back.

I've been a user of the glass "push pots" (as we lovingly call them) for years. With the glass ones A. I was always afraid of breaking it when I washed it and B. Hated that my second cup got cold and I had to microwave it when I was ready to drink it.I bought this one after I did break my glass one washing it. I was hoping the metal carafe would keep my second cup warm and WOW, DOES IT!I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this french press! I am never going back to the glass carafe again!Side note-- when I bought this I wondered if the push screen on the inside would stay flush with the pot as I pushed down-- because it flares out toward the bottom of the pot. I HATE getting mouthfuls of grounds in my cup. If you're wondering too-- The answer is YES! The inside is completely cylindrical and does not flare. It makes a tight seal with the screen all the way down so no mouthful of grounds, yay! Apparently, the insulation is thicker the further down the pot you go which is why it looks wider on the bottom from the outside. Added bonus is the thicker insulation on the bottom (where the second cup sits sometimes for hours in my house) keeps the leftovers warmer longer.

I purchased this french press because I have broken too many glass french presses. At first this was an awesome product. It's sturdy and it keeps my coffee hot for hours. The problem is that there's a leak. For some reason, this is not a solid piece. It's hollow. And the seal is obviously broken somewhere because I can hear liquid swishing around in there. I've pinpointed where the water is getting in. And now I've realized, when I pour my coffee, that liquid stuck inside the press is dripping out into my coffee. GROSS!

Just got our new French press coffee maker and what a beauty. We recently renovated our kitchen and thought our coffee maker needed an update too. When I found the ardito French press at this price and in stainless steel I thought it was too good to be true. Well it wasn't. The double wall keeps the coffee fresh and hot for a good few hours whereas our previous French press would cool off rather quickly. I love the way this one pours, smooth and doesn't splatter. I leave it out on the counter all day because it is very handsome. Wonderful.product and great purchase. I highly recommend this French press.

For years my preferred taste of coffee is the french press method. After previously using glass french presses, I can highly recommend this stainless steel version. In fact, I would give it 10 stars if I could. There are some comments about the difficulty of unscrewing the filter attachment on these types of french presses. When I first got this unit it was really tight, I followed the instructions and placed the base of the plunger stem under some hot running water, then used a tea towel to grip the stem to unscrew the base and it came apart rather easily. Now it is easy to unscrew whenever I clean between the filters. The verdict, this is a solid, well made, stylish, easy to use and easy to clean french press that makes my coffee the way I like it. I would buy another one without a second thought.

I drink a lot of coffee throughout the day. In the morning, I typically use this french press to brew some coffee, and that brews enough for a single mug, plus two more for when I get to work. I am able to pour the two other cups into my Zojirushi coffee thermos, which conveniently fits exactly that amount of coffee. It seems to be a very good quality french press. Although it is quite easy to clean, the parts I find somewhat annoying is how coffee grinds get stuck between the metal component and the filter on the plunger, and how I need to wipe everything down as soon as I wash the french press to prevent water spots. I had a day where I brewed coffee and have had to rush out the door before I got to have any, and the coffee was luke-warm when I got home 12 hours later! Although I have a Chemex, and Aeropress, and a V60 dripper, I find that I use this french press more than any other brewing tool.

I have been through at least 3 other French presses that were glass and each of them had the same problems, the glass would crack and the top would fall apart...This press has been by far the best I've ever had! My coffee stays hot because it's insulated and I don't worry about it cracking. I also love that the lid is one solid piece that won't come apart. I may never need to buy another press again.

I love the rich, flavorful quality of coffee brewed using a French Press, but I've never been crazy about the silty, powdery quality it sometimes takes on. I also didn't appreciate how quickly the coffee, when I brewed more than a cup or two, would loose it's heat if not immidately transferred to a thermos. Well, since aquiring this excellent Ardito French Press, both of these problems have been solved. I love it. The coffee is full bodied and full flavored without allowing too much sediment to slip through, and since this press holds its heat well beyond my preferred six minute brew time, my coffee reaches full bloom, and I can then drink it at a leisurely pace.
