SCHLAGEB60 N CEN 622 Deadbolt with Century Trim, Keyed 1 Side, Highest Residential Security, Matte Black

I bought this deadbolt as a replacement for a $300+ smart lock that I had been using for a couple years. My mother simply could never get the hang of the smart lock, and my wife has an aversion to technology. I broke down and reverted back to the dark ages with a simple deadbolt. This one has been working great! The installation was quick and easy. My toddler was even able to help. The deadbolt is well-made and pairs well with the squared-looking handles that Schlage sells. The lock is a little one the pricey side, but it does appear to be high-quality. If you want a simple, well-made deadbolt, this one is a great choice!

These were as easy to install as any deadbolt. A bit more attention to detail is needed to squarely align the backing plate but the visual impact is well worth it. Top residential security with impeccable esthetics.

Well built lock for its price point, certainly better than Kwikset or Yale right now.Fairly robust lock, metal and overall build quality is very good. Thumb turn turns well, with no grittiness, bolt extends with no trouble, and is beefier than others. Dual strike plate is surprisingly substantial. Keys are of decent weight, they do not feel like they will bend or snap with use, which is a problem with some brands. Correct length and thickness attachment screws, that give confidence that they won't fail.I do not like that they omitted the "ice pick attack" shield that the older models had. While it is a somewhat uncommon deadbolt attack, I would have gladly paid a few extra bucks to still have it.It's a five pin cylinder in a common keyway, but it has good tolerances, and if you want, it is very easy to find higher security KIK type cylinders from Medeco, Abloy, Assa, Mul-t-lock, etc.... that will retrofit it. The cylinder housing also offers surprisingly good drill protection at this price point.Installation was easy, like any other common deadbolt. If you need to drill new holes, buy a drill guide for a few bucks and it will be a snap. Ryobi makes a great one.I like to pair my deadbolts with a Segal Jimmyproof rim lock, the Segal just above the doorknob, the deadbolt above the Segal.I bought the brushed / satin chrome version of this lock that looks very much like brushed stainless. It was well done with no flaws.All in all, a great value for the money involved :).

First of all beautiful, study, and the finish isn't cheap. I'm so happy I found these. They add a touch of beauty to something that is otherwise boring.

Works well. Easy to install. I replaced an existing lock when moving to a new place.

The Schlage deadbolt from my 7-year old lock set broke-the key would just spin loose. Checking on line, it seems that this is a common problem with Schlage locks. The deadbolt is a single/whole piece, which cannot be replaced with a normal deadbolt 'core'.Luckily, I was able to find just the deadbolt part (without having to buy another complete hardware set), and in the same style and color as my set. Unfortunately, it is very expensive for a dead bolt, but still cheaper than having to buy another complete set. The lock was very easy to switch out, especially since the rest of the hardware was fine and didn't need to be changed. I did change out the actual bolt as well (included as part of this set), as I read it is strongly suggested to do that as well.The whole process only took 15 min. Once the broken deadbolt was out, I saw that the lever had indeed broke, with a couple of very tiny springs that fell out. I guess that is just a common problem with Schlage locks, unfortunately. Hopefully this replacement will last longer than the original.

I have been replacing electronic locks every 2 years it seems. Decided to go back to a deadbolt. Great finish, easy to install (under 5 minutes), works well in -35 C, and smooth key turn. 5 stars

Absolutely beautiful. The deadbolt with the decorative Addison plate is a must inside and out. Improves the look of my front door drastically. Great! Highly recommend!
