This particular Lightning Cable is a more durable improvement over Apples original design. The slim aesthetic is pretty much identical to an original lightning cable, as well as the overall cable shielding design and USB connector. The difference is that this cable can take more abuse and can withstand day to day wear and tear.What is most important to factor in is that this cable is Apple MFI Certified, a programme Apple runs that guarantees the accessory will work with their devices. With any aftermarket cable you decide to purchase, you should look for MFI Certification.Unfortunately, I know quite a few people that have simply opted to buy a cheap replacement Lightning Cable from Poundland only to find their iPhone says the accessory is not compatible. It also is not safe to use a non-MFI certified aftermarket cable, as a cheap dodgy cable can be a fire risk due to it not meeting any electrical safety standards.Overall if you need a replacement cable instead of paying the Apple Tax get a cable that not only works better but will last indefinitely longer too. Does what it says great product

This Lightning Cable in particular is a very high quality and durable one compared to others on the market, and even over the original Apple design. It has a likeness to the original Lightning Cable which makes it practically identical to it, with its slim feel and cable shielding. This is a very aesthetically pleasing cable and the only difference I would say is that this cable can take more abuse and be able to hand more day to day wear and tear. The main difference however is that it now adds a metal shielding over plastic shielding for increased durability.The most important thing for me however is that this is actually Apple MFI Certified, something Apple does which guarantees the accessory will work on their devices. This is absolutely key to look for should you purchase an aftermarket cable.A lot of the cheaper Lightning Cables you can buy from are not MFI Certified, so people will tend to buy them from a discount store for a quid and wonder why it their iPhone tells them that the accessory is not supported. This is an all too common thing which I see often.
