Q: I have 8 beautiful clam shells 4 inch wide and 3 inches in height. Do you think they would all fit in this size? Thank you

i do not think they would all fit. They would be overfowing the top.My guess is msybe 4 or 5

Q: What type wood is this? Is this a light wood or has it been stained, I know pictures can be deceiving I really like the color that is shown online.

I believe it is teak. I have two of these bowls and wood displays and both are unstained. You can see where the hot glass was shaped to the wood as it will appear darker than the rest of the wooden stand. I did add a little Tung oil to one of mine to give it a little more shine (it will darken it too) because the wood is pretty but does appear unfinished.

Q: Can you separate the glass from the wood for cleaning, or are they permanently stuck together?

The glass and the wood are two separate pieces

Q: Is the glass clear or blue tinted?

The glass is clear around the bowl, but where it's thicker around the base it tends to have a blueish tint. But overall it is clear.
