Perfect size emergency preparedness kit
We put together an emergency preparedness plan this year as we live in a seismic and fire-prone area of California. Yes, almost all California fits that description. This Judy backpack was the perfect addition to our emergency earthquake plan (emergency fire plan, too) as most plans call for having a wide range of supplies (tools, hand-crank radio, water, food, glow-sticks/torches, ponchos, etc) ready to go at a moment's notice. Rather than buying all these supplies separately, trying to organizing them in an efficient manner, and then finding a waterproof bag to pack them in, I just bought this Judy emergency preparedness backpack kit; easy and it saved me time and money. Bonus: the backpack quality is much better than expected. Reminds me of bags I used when whitewater rafting or scuba diving. It has a little extra room for other odds and ends beyond what was provided, too.A little backstory: We put-off creating an emergency survival / preparedness plan for a while. However, every local newsfeed and newsletter peppers my community with "Do you have a plan?" messages. It is a non-stop public service announcement. I have come to learn it is really important, and although I am no survival expert, our simple plan entails the following:1) Where will we go should X, Y, or Z happen?2) How will we get there?3 What do we take with us?The Judy pretty much accomplished #3 above, which for a while was the final hurdle in rounding-out our plan as I could not figure out what to pack and how to organize it. I literally sleep better at night knowing we have a plan and equipment (Judy) ready. If you are looking to build a plan, no need to overthink it and procrastinate like I did. Just get a good emergency survival kit together and get on it. For those not looking to go overboard, I definitely recommend this survival kit backpack as a good place to start; small, light-weight, and portable.

Perfect gift
This was a gift for a doomsday preparer. She loved it and the quality was great.

Preparing for Safety made easy
I just got my Mover Max today and went through all the products. I must admit, I’m shocked by how many things come inside and the quality. I’ve had 5+ emergency survival kits over the last decade and they usually come with dollar store quality products. Also, the organization was incredible –it’s what sold me initially. We live in New Jersey, where the odds are high that we'll have another hurricane like Sandy in the next few decades. For me, I needed the peace of mind to know my family would be safe in case something happens. The hand crank radio is amazing and something we already used last week when we lost power. My wife and daughter also ate one of the emergency food bars (HA!) and they were actually not bad.

Easy way to check emergency kit off of your list!
Is this the cheapest product out there? No. But this was a very easy way to get this done and crossed off my list in case of an emergency. With increasing wildfires, I also liked that this came as a backpack.

Good to be prepared
Good amount of things for the price. I hope it’s something we never have to use but I rather be safe than sorry. Brings everything necessary for an emergency . Great buy ! Should be a must buy for all .

ok if it gets you thinking
So this is an ok start on a go bag. I suppose if you are a little lazy, it might be enough. Better to take the contents and prune and supplement. Anyone would add needed meds, etc.. The small first aid kit needs thoughtful additions. Mine included clotting material, burn patch, Israeli pressure bandage. The H2O packages are around 4 oz so more water would be good. The multi tool is pretty good, with a good pliers. Now the bag...Yes it looks like an ok dry bag, but if you repack in ziploc bags this is not needed, really. And you will want to repack, the cardboard containers just take up space. (I started backpacking by repacking EVERYTHING). The suspension is very basic, so if you have a spare pack with something better , then it would be good to upgrade. I do understand the cost issue, but 15lbs is still 15lbs and with additions a better suspension is needed unless this is just for throwing into the car. Also I note that the suspension was too wide for my female frame. So all in all, if you get this just because and you then sit down and really think, it will have been worth it just for that. PS The crank radio has been declared pretty much worthless by the person in the family in charge of such things.

TBD
Everything looks promising. I guess I’ll have to wait for a major disaster to enjoy it.
