Bought the Brightown solar fairy lights for our palm trees. Charged the solar panels in the sun. Took time to carefully unwind the copper wire so as not to tangle as other reviews posted. I posted the solar panel, started from the bottom of the palms unwinding the copper light strands slowly as I was winding them up around the palms. This worked well, no tangles. Reasonably, it is copper wire so it can get stuck in a bend and catch the wire going the other way. I also gently wound the copper wire with fairy lights around a bungie cord bobble near the top or before the palm leaves (see photo to keep the lights in place) and then came back down the palm trees so as to double up for brighter lights (see photos). The lights did not turn on as the sun set. Clicked and double clicked the ON/OFF button, nothing. The solar lights DID come on when we turned the panels upside down to trouble shoot. We have dark smooth river rock in our palm trees. We figured out that our Christmas lights impact the solar panel sensor. Sensors must sense the Christmas lights mistakenly for daylight and not turn on. Logically, the solar panels work when our Christmas lights are off. Worth the money, plenty of light, joyful, ease of set up and use, bring ambiance and they stay bright evening to morning and they are solar. I am ordering more. (My sweetheart originally said that he thought I should return these lights because he thought they would not be very bright. He loves them! We took down the Christmas lights after New Years and left the Brightown solar fairy lights up on the palm trees for ambiance and entertaining.)NOTE:1) Unwinding the copper wire in a consistent manner keeps wire from tangling.2) We doubled up the lights by back tracking, however, the little fairy lights are quite bright so we may wind them up the palms in a single strand next time assuming they unwind easily and can be stored and reused.3) The solar lights did not turn on with the panel facing up while the Christmas lights are on. The solar panels are impacted by other lights mimicking daylight. Either turn the panel upside down or turn off the Christmas lights or other lights. We opted for upside down solar panel so we can enjoy all the lights.4) There are different modes of twinkling or flashing and solid. We chose solid lights.5) We can see the lights from 2 blocks away or approx. 300-400 yards away. Impressive for tiny lights!

I purchased these lights two years ago and have wrapped around trees and shrubs in my yard. They are perfect! Bright and really enhance the yard. After about 10 months they wouldn't hold a charge at all. I replaced the batteries moved the charging unit and they worked for a few more days, likely due to the new batteries. But no matter how much light they just wouldn't work.I cleaned the solar panels and inspected all the components everything looked good. The solar panels seem to fade or discolor and I think the solar panels just eventually gave out and stopped charging the batteries. I purchased new lights and rather than restring all my lights I spliced the new charging unit onto my light setup and bingo.. All was good, even the old batteries I thought that were dead kept the lights on all night. I have hit another 10 months and just like clock work, the batteries are not charging and the solar panels are discolored.. I have tried to clean them and no luck.. It is looking like I may have to purchase another set of lights and then splice the solar panels back into my setup..Great product and really like them but I am not looking forward to purchasing these every ten months just to splice new solar charging unit..

I purchased this product to backlight a custom metal address sign for my home. The lights work just like they say it will, on at dusk and off whenever the charge dies in the early AM. When is that? Who knows, I'm asleep, but it's well after midnight. Anyway, my point is that you're getting what you pay for and at the price, you can afford more if things don't last as long as you think you should. Just because you pay more doesn't mean you're getting a better product. Buy with confidence.

I am obcessed with these solar lights. I hang them inside my house around my front windows on the the front porch. I use them for ALL holidays. They have multiple settings and they stay lite a very long time. I work second shift and they are still on when I come home. They are warm and relaxing. Very festive, too.

I had my first set of fairy lights for nearly 3 years, so I didn’t hesitate to buy again. They produce the perfect amount of light on my deck and have a variety of settings. Will buy again.

Well they were great. Now the one doesn’t even light up. It turns on then goes off.

Solar panel is included for each strand, lights are warm in color so they are perfect in the evening to get the ladies back in the coop or to set up for a romantic dinner on the deck.Easy to install, simply set the solar panel in the direction of the sun, poke the button on the back of the panel so it turns on at dusk, remove the plastic cover on the solar panel, string out the lights, and let the sun do it's work!Just a FYI if it's cloudy the panel may not receive enough rays to charge that day, this may cause the lights to be dim or not turn on until it gets a good charge on the next sunny day.

I kept these outdoors during Spring, Summer & Fall in the PNW. Lots of rain. Never had a problem with the lights. I bring them indoors during winter though.

good value but only if it works! very tempermental had to keep adjusting the wires for it to work like we used to do with the old ariels for tv! finally got it to sit still and it lit all night which was lovely, but tbh I know it wont last the summer, but ok for myself. Retuning after this comment as completely stopped working! Don’t buy !

Used my lights for little bay trees by the front door. They look very pretty.They were simple to do natal and fantastic for the price I paid. BUT two weeks later, sadly neither set of lights work!!How do I go about getting a replacement please?

These were great at first. I set them up at 9am and by 5pm they were twinkling brightly like all night! Then after 4 day/nights of the same, they now only last about hour!

The lights are great. They do however need to be placed so that sunlight can be caught. Unfortunately because of tge time of year tge lights only last for about 2 hours.

Love these lights. From the first day I got them they have been bright and lasted for hours. They were still going strong early hours of the morning. My neighbour commented on how bright and long they lasted. Also still gives a bright light all night when its been raining all day. Would definitely recommend.
