This is a 5 panel isolation shield for only a few bucks more than another brand's 3 panel shield. Product is 95% identical to the other (moukey) brand.The item works well for home recording to create as dry a sound as possible. If possible use with sound dampening items behind you for best results (mattress, hanging down comforter, or pillows).Works well, buy without hesitation, even though there are only few reviews as if now.

This is a surprisingly solid little unit. It's difficult to say exactly how much impact it has on my overall sound in the studio, but it does seem to at least blunt some of the reflected noise I was getting off my mostly-untreated walls and other acoustically active surfaces. I'm just using it in a little home studio setup, so every little bit helps.It does clean up the vocal mic noticeably, and helps eliminate some of the ambient sounds of a typical "home studio on a budget." (Like the refrigerator, air conditioner, furnace, finches out in the living room, etc.)Build quality is considerably better than I was hoping for. Mounted to a stand with the included hardware, it all feels rock solid and professional. Hang a couple packing blankets behind you and you have a fairly isolated little recording environment. For the money, it's hard to go wrong with this one.

Works perfectly in my tiny studio. It helps keep noise out and my vocals in. I don’t have a lot of acoustic protection in my recording area and this isolation shield really cleaned things up.

Looks great, solid construction and performs as described. My only complaint is the 3/8" to 5/8" coupling that they provided to connect a dynamic mic, did not fit properly (mic was very loose). Not a deal breaker but I did have to purchase a new one for $8. I'm not sure how they made this mistake, seeing that these couplings are pretty much a standard size for all mic stands. If you need one, just search Amazon for "5/8" male to 3/8" female microphone adapter".

Don't expect this to dampen the reverb fom behind you from reflective material such as bare walls. This is a minimal aid as with all acoustic shells. It is what it is. You will still need sound absorbing material in the room. It's useful if you're traveling and want to record from a hotel room where there is already sound dampening from curtains, carpeting and the beds. But do yourself a favor, if you're using this instead of a studio booth, get audio blankets.

I have sound panels in my recording room, but this has definitely made a difference in the quality of my recordings.Would recommend
