Cover is great, filling is not.
As others have said, the cover is first rate. One side is Carharttās iconic canvas, and the other is sturdy heavy-duty fleece. The sides are held together with a sturdy yet easy to use zipper. I know because I opened the dog bed at least half a dozen timesāat first to attempt to ādeflateā the innards and finally to remove huge handfuls of stuffing in attempt to flatten it so my Labrador would feel comfortable walking on it and, I hoped, sleep on it.So the upshot is that Iāll be keeping the cover. But throwing out the stuffing. Nothing about the mattress in reality seems supportive. Quite the opposite. However, both the price and the way itās delivered in a vacuum-sealed package suggest that youāll be getting something resembling supportive foam. Instead you get fluffy clouds of polyester that spring back up to attention the minute your dog takes a step. Itās not supportive. If anything, a dog is likely to stumble over the big watermelon-size clumps. Big fail on comfort, joint support, and the use of petroleum-based synthetic stuffing.

Not durable
Not waterproof, my dog has spilt his water on it and it will easy seep through the material. Any single hair sticks to it easily as well as lint, hard to clean and leaves my washer so dirty from all the lint/hair accumulation. My dog has also torn it up, thought it would be more durable. Bought a second bed and not planning on getting another one. I have an Aussie and he can rip through the bed within days, so I can just imagine more super chewed dogs. Too expensive for quality. Youāre paying for the brand name at this point. Avoid

Very nice, but not chewproof.
I have a 9 month old puppy who has chewed her way through several other dog beds. I bought this one hoping it would be the chew proof, yet still soft, bed that I was looking for, and she chewed a hole in it in a matter of 5 minutes. I wish my dog had not chewed this bed, as it's very pretty and soft, but I wanted to share a fair warning that it's NOT 100% chew proof.

Hole chewed through in less than 10 minutes.
I'm utterly mystified by the reviews that say this is a durable dog bed.My dog is not an aggressive chewer, but I purchased this bed because I thought the heavy canvas would stand up to normal wear and tear and some occasional chewing.Be aware that the canvas is only on the sides and the bottom. There is no canvas below the sherpa top, which as shown in the photo below is flimsy and very easy for a dog to chew through. I don't really understand this design. It's a bit like building a bullet-proof vest that is kevlar on the back and sides, but flannel in the front.Other things that I'm not too crazy about - there is no non-slip coating on the bottom, so it will freely slide on a smooth surface. And my dog wasn't comfortable on in. The padding is not very dense and is rather springy, so he couldn't really nestle into it very well. Maybe that is why he treated it like a giant toy, dragging it around and putting a hole in it. He's only a 45lb, medium sized dog. I think most larger dogs would reduce this shreds in no time.Cannot recommend this bed at all. Hope to be able to return it and find something longer lasting and more thoughtfully designed.

Less than three hours my dog chewed a hole
Product was not durable. Literally less than three hours from the time we put it down there was a hole and stuffing everywhere. I am so disappointed we spent $100 on a bed for it to be destroyed so quickly. It is not chew proof. So disappointed.

Nope! So disappointed ā¹ļø
Had it an hour and my 39 lb. 7 month old puppy already chewed a hole. If I hadnāt of taken it away it would have been much worse. Itās also very poufy and doesnāt lay flat making it awkward for my dog to lay on. I feel sick that I spent almost $100 and itās already chewed in multiple places. All around not even close to worth the price.

Not puppy proof
Within a month this "tough and rugged" dog bed was destroyed by my 5 month old gsp..he's definitely not a power chewer but was able to bite through the fabric and tear out the stuffing in a single night. We should've just bought the $12 bed from Tractor Supply.

NOT DURALBE IN THE SLIGHTEST!
This dog bed is NOT durable in the least. I had purchased this product since I have a German Shepard and the reviews stated that this is a durable product for hard chewing dogs - but it's NOT! I watched him as he ripped a large hole in the fleece top within 30 seconds. The sad thing is that this would have been a decent dog bed if only the manufacturer would have completely covered the bed in canvas! However the fleece top is extremely thin. What's the point of having canvas on 3/4 of the bed and a heavy duty zipper if a dog can tear through the fleece in mere seconds! DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU HAVE A LARGE DOG WITH BIG TEETH!

Definitely Not Durable
I am really disappointed with this product. I use Carhartt product for working outside and they a really durable, cut and tear resistant. Not the case for this dog bed. Our golden chewed through within the first month. Just keeps getting worse.
