Bear Says Thanks (The Bear Books)

All if the bear books are fantastic! My granddaughter (5) and grandson (2) love these books. Beautiful Vibrant colors and the stories of bear and his friends are charming and even touches in being scared, loosing a first tooth, feeling sick, making a new friend etc. I bought a couple books then my granddaughter noticed the other books available on the back and we have now acquired ALL of them and she keeps checking to make we have every one!

As a teacher, I enjoy all of the Bear books. This one has become one of my favorite stories for my preschool class because of all the learning activities that can go along with it. It's great for Thanksgiving time and teaching sharing and thankfulness, you can have a writing activity where the students come up with stories to share like Bear shares, planning a class potluck sharing meal, creating a themed dramatic play center to go along with the book, etc. you could write a full week of curriculum off of this sweet book. Definitely recommend it for any teacher's library!

My daughter and I love the Bear books, we have every one! This one is perfect like the others. Great flow and rhyming verses, cute story telling, beautiful artwork, and sweet bear and his good friends. Without ever talking about Thanksgiving, Bear and his friends gather together for a big potluck meal together, showing thanks along the way. Bear realizes he didn't have any food to give, and was sad, until his friends remind him that he has something else to give - his wonderful stories that his friends love to hear!

This is such a cute, sweet story. The illustrations are detailed and easy on the eyes.

My 18 month nephew really likes this book! He sometimes has a hard time staying through to the end but overall, he really likes it. The pictures are beautiful and the story line is just darling.

Great book for showing generosity and compassion and giving to those in need. My students enjoyed it so much. We did a food drive for one of our local community that help the homeless.

This is a hardcover - not a board book.We have almost all of these books in board book format, and I was a little bummed this one didn’t match. It’s HUGE in comparison (still beautiful), and the pages are paper.There was no option for board book at checkout, so I admittedly chose hardcover, not realizing there was a difference (especially since all of her other books have arrived as board books). This was definitely my own fault, but I feel it’s worth mentioning - especially if you’re trying to match an existing set.

bought this for our Thanksgiving holiday book collection for my 4 yr old girl. she (and i) loooove this book! the illustrations are soft and lovely and whimsical. the message of friendship and gratitude (and gratitude for our friends wherever they happen to be in life); appreciating not just their material gifts, but their natural gifts, is just a beautiful message all around. It’s message is delivered in a simple, lighthearted, easy to grasp way. i highly recommend. it’s february and we still read it often.

This is a lovely book to use with children to explore the importance and effect that having good manners can have.

My granddaughter liked the Bear Snores On, and I have been informed that she enjoys this one also.

didn't realise how big, perhaps to big for number of words on the page- however lovely pictures. Personally prefer reading Bear Snores On - my daughters favourite

It's a nice story and helps to reinforce the little word that so many children don't use as a matter of course, but the story is a bit weak and the prose is a bit cumbersome in places. If you're interested in this series, I really, really like "Bear Snores On".

It's an ok book. However, I wished the text would rhyme better... The story doesn't flow too well. I am comparing to other books like that that I have bought, and if had an option to preview the book before buying, probably would have left it on the shelf...
