A review from an engineer with heating element experience
First and foremost, the product works as described, is CE marked and I have measured 180W power consumption at the plug, the reflective/insulated backing stays relatively cool and results in a useful radiative heat from the front which I can comfortably enjoy from about 2 feet/60cm away (which is good for a 180W heater).-(Please be aware that IR heaters radiate heat onto other objects and are not designed to heat the air through convection, so you will feel the colder air when you move around/out of this heater's line-of-sight.)-Practically, this means that this 180W unit WOULD NOT be able to heat any room larger than a WC. However, as an under-desk heater to keep you warm whilst working from home -without having to waste energy/money on central heating- this will do very well.I have not been able to test longevity but, as a simple solid-state device, there's not much that can go wrong.Minor Criticisms: Whilst functional, the design and build quality has been kept to an acceptable minimum. Cosmetically, there are classroom whiteboards with nicer-made bevels. Whist it's not noticeable at a distance, the corners have not been de-burred resulting in noticeably sharp edges which cause the joins to separate and the coating to chip away. The stamped holes in the aluminium mounting points have also not been de-burred, the mounting mechanism itself consists of screws and wall plugs which don't provide a lot of confidence in a ceiling-mounted application. Lastly, the mounting point and black junction box prevent the heater from sitting flush with the mounting surface, while this allows the cable to pass underneath and probably helps with heat dissipation, a slimmer design with a notch in the bevel for the cable would have made it feel like a more modern product.4/5: Will buy another!

Infrared heater
Bought to heat small bathroom. Need to switch on in advance because this type of heater warms solid objects not like a fan air heater. Low wattage and Britishade , thumbs up from me.

WFH winter game-changer!
Received this today and I can already tell that this may be the best thing I'll buy this winter! Certainly with respect to keeping warm! My desk is unfortunately in a very draughty corner of my living room by a window, and it's nearly impossible to heat the room as a whole. This targeted heat under the desk, facing directly away from the wall, is the perfect solution for keeping me warm while I'm working at home. I've set it up with the legs to make it freestanding (which you have to buy separately) and installed it in 3 minutes. My only gripe – and I definitely should have connected these dots beforehand – there is no on/off switch on the unit so you have to turn it off at the wall. For me this is a tad difficult as the plug is behind a set of desk drawers, but the drawers are on castors so it's manageable. You can get a unit with a remote which I can now see might have been worth it – but overall very, very happy! I'm hoping it turns out to be as energy-efficient as the description and other reviews suggest.

Unintrusive, does heat up a small bathroom nicely
Very happy with this heater. You can feel the radiation almost immediately as you turn it on, but it will take a good hour to heat up a small bathroom (from ~16 to ~23 degrees). The item only comes with an on-off switch, so I set it on a timer. It hangs very much like a picture frame with 4 keyhole mounting hooks on the four corners, so it could realistically be attached to a non-vertical wall, and possibly also to a ceiling. The cable comes out the back at a 90-degree angle, so it needs to go into a well-placed hole in the wall in order for the frame to sit as flush as possible.

These are really nice!
I'm impressed by this. It's like a gentle radiator. Looks like a whiteboard, maybe an inch thick. But it feels warm when plugged in without itself actually being hot and really doesn't seem to use much power. (Obvs bigger ones will use more). British company with a wide range of sizes and options -- hope they do well!!
