Not much in it. I was expecting a lot more information on the specifications for the different iterations and special editions. Basically this is a simple guide to buying a used car. There is a lot more information available by a quick search online.

Contains all of the pros and cons for the model. Spot on!

Buying car

Doesn't give as much detailed "what to look for" info as I would have liked. Geared more to someone who has never purchased a used car before.

The author is the best source of info on Jaguars. Our 4th Jaguar is a 2011 XK convertible that we purchased in January 2017. I was glad to see that the book was revised and updated through the end of the XK production run (2015 or 2016?). After reading the sections on our model, I was surprised (but should not have been) to see that the author had in fact mentioned a few little items that we had to deal with on our car. This shows me that the author does his homework - he knows his stuff about Jaguars!

I'm surprised Nigel put his name to this- it's more of a generic car buying guide ad contains little info specific to XKs- yes they are very reliable, but more specific insight into problems specific to the model would help. The book is so short you could read it cover to cover in 20 minutes. My advice- don't bother.

The book is very disappointing. I expected much more detail on VIN numbers at feature changes. information on what were options and what was standard. Models and specifications, ie. what did an Artisan model have. He does not even mention the rust problem on sub frames, NOT A COMPLETE GUIDE.

Great addition to an XK or XKR owner's manual.Provides all of the essential guide to buying and owning the car.

Excellent guide Would recommend this to anyone proposing to purchase an XK.
