Bought this to attach a 6 ft market umbrella to my 3rd floor balcony railing. I get a lot of wind gusts being up high and have had an umbrella actually lift off from a floor stand and fly up to the roof! So I bought this clamp stand. It’s terrific and a great bargain!

Works great but if you put it on a light weight item, the wind could blow the umbrella over. I clamped mine to a small table and added our small grill on top of the table for the extra weight.

I got this to use at the beach - I attach my beach umbrella to my chair so that it doesn’t blow away. It has mostly worked quite well for that, although a good gust of wind caused the plate at the top to bend (and the umbrella to tilt) so it doesn’t fit as securely now. I’m hopeful we can hammer that back into place. I certainly didn’t expect that to happen at all, but much less after less than a week’s use.

I wanted shade while sitting at picnic tables in the parks I visit and this product meets this requirement. Has a tripod or you can just drill the pole into the soft ground, but it is the table clamp that makes it sturdy.

This did the job and all in all, worth the price. However, worth noting that you need to keep an eye on the clasp that pins the umbrella inside the tube itself, because the entire silver clamp and piece within the tube can fall out. We luckily spotted it in the sand and didn't lose it, but it was a near thing. Tube also started breaking a bit after 1 use on a not-windy day because it struggled with the weight of the golf umbrella we used.

Bought this to take to an Airbnb due to patio having no shade. Very easy to instant on deck railing and sturdy. Held beach umbrella up perfectly.

This umbrella stand is junk! The metal is so soft it bent! I tried to use for an umbrella and attached it to the coping on my pool. I tightened it enough that the screw left a pretty significant indent in the coping, yet the first wind picked up the umbrella, along with this stand and ended up in the pool. Umbrella broke! The umbrella stand is bent and unusable. Worst $20 I ever spent. Did not even make it through one use. Almost bought 2 and am glad I did not. I will try to send back but may be too late.
