Make sure you buy the right size, these are mostly used on table lights , like the one shown in the photo. It holds the glass shade and screws to the top of the light fitting, get the size too big and you will see the clamps, get the size too small and the bulb won't fit.Its apearence makes it look like bronze, obviously some cheap metal but looks good, strongly made, and just right for removing the E14 cheap led and replacing it with the very low current Philips hue bulb, and now it can have any colour. And can control it with Alexa.So if you bought one of the table lamps shown in the photo, and want to use a normal BC or E27 etc, you will need a bigger cage, and this item is what you need, 6 inch 7 inch is mainly what i use.Great being able to get them, they are very well made, look like original parts, and will last a very long time.
