I was born in the late 90s, however, I never got to experience the original "Shaman King" fever while it was airing (mainly because I was still too young when it aired on tv); so, growing up surrounded by friends who did get to enjoy and love "Shaman King" was a little frustrating, because, I always heard so many good things about this series!When I saw that SK was getting a new anime series + a re-release on its manga I almost cried haha "my time has come" I said to myself and inmediately came to amazon to start buying and collecting the story that I never got to experience as a child.So, first of all, what is "Shaman King" about? Shaman King follows the story of Yoh Asakura, a young japanese shaman in training, and his friends on his quest to become one with the most powerful spirit of all! However, before becoming one with said spirit, he must endure the "shaman fight", if he manages to win the competition (which takes place every 500 years) he will become the "Shaman King" and will change our world's fate! So, as you can see, SK's plot is very simple, nothing too hard or too deep to understand, and I think that's part of what makes this story so wonderful and enjoyable!The characters are lovable, each of them has their own path to overcome, it's definetely not the "power of friendship saves it all" kind of story that some manga within the shonen genere have become. Also, its artstyle is very cute and charming, though it does get a little gory sometimes (it ain't that explicit compared with modern shonen series such as Chainsaw Man or Jujutsu Kaisen )! Don't get me wrong, I love darker shonen series such as the two mentioned before, but, sometimes you just want to pick up a jolly and wholesome series like the ones that came out during the late 90s and early 2000s (Shaman King, One Piece, Naruto, etc.)!So, if you're looking for a enjoyable and charming manga with lots of late 90s gags this is the one for you! Plus, the omnibus version is excellent for those who read manga really fast and don't have enough time to buy volume by volume!

Fantastic new edition! I am a giant shaman king fan. Not a lot is changed one or two small things added. High quality all around. The only issue, and this is not a criticism is that this edition that contains 3 volumes is the exact width of the 3 volumes. So if you're looking to take up less space on your book shelf by replacing the individual volumes, this is not the way

The manga was in perfect shape and everything is exactly as expected. I just would like to congratulate the seller and amazon's service for the AMAZINGLY FAST international shipping. I was expecting this package to be here in 11 more days but it's already in my hands!

Great cover and excellent quality of the paper, but the spine could be better. To avoid a crease, you have to carefully open the Omnibus and read. Also, this one came with some cut in the spine.

This was a great purchase, and I don’t regret spending my money, I just wish the packaging protected the book more. That aside, still super excited for the rest of these to come out :)

Shaman king is a dimensioned in that I wish I read be for i am glad I got this one and the first one can't wait for the 3rd one get it NOW!

Bought this for brand new, and it arrived looking like it was used… there are scratch marks on the front cover, color on the spine has been scratched off, dents on the back, and don’t even get me started on that bottom part of the spine. I’m expecting a refund, as this is not the condition this book should be in if it’s “brand new”.
