Top Chef Zinc Alloy Ice Cream Scoop

I got this because of the good reviews I had read on other sites, and I found it available the cheapest on Amazon. Our last ice cream scooper bent while trying to scoop ice cream. When this arrived in the mail, it was bulkier and heavier than I had expected. (It's not a huge scooper, just bigger than I had before) I wondered how it would perform, because it just seemed so heavy and maybe hard to grip while scooping....but... it works amazing!! Wow! Ice cream was hard and just barely taken out of the freezer, and the scoop goes right through it almost effortlessly! It has teeth on it, combined with the weight, I'm guessing that's why it works so well. We love it!!! Recommend it to anyone! You won't be disappointed!

I love Trader Joe's non-fat Greek frozen yoghurt, but it's HARD! I had a tightly curved scoop that made pretty little balls of softer stuff, but couldn't tough the TJ's Greek. Then it got wrecked by an encounter with a non-food object, so I cruised Amazon looking for a replacement. This one sounded good and durable. Even this one can't make pretty scoops in the TJ's right out of the freezer, but it can cut through it and make a proper serving. Much better than chipping away with a heavy spoon, and totally dusts the previous scoop.One star off, however, because it's difficult to keep a grip on the handle while plowing through the hard stuff. My hand isn't big, and it slides down to the throat. The little orange logo thing in the middle of the grip is uncomfortable too. It would be better if the grip were smoother and had finger bumps or traction texture or something, rather than the scratchy logo. Even so, it's a pretty good scoop.

This amazes me. I was reading reviews and I thought this might work good but it is awesome!! It easy cuts through frozen ice cream! I have had so many different ones this is the first to truly work. I would highly recommend this product!

This is the last scooper you'll need to buy for a looooong time. It cuts thru ice cream like butter, has a nice weight to it, AND is dishwasher safe!! I'm never dealing with moving parts of other scoopers which never do the trick and always end of breaking. This thing is awesome.
