RETON Stainless Steel Spring Coil Whisk - Mixing, Blending and Beating by Kitchen Accessories (1 Blender)

This item is NOT STAINLESS STEEL
The product that I received was only similar to the picture. The spring part is longer and very flimsy it would just barely scramble an egg. Like other reviewers the item I received rusted, it is advertised as being STAINLESS STEEL, STAINLESS STEEL DOES NOT RUST. This seller needs to be punished for false advertising.

Almost worthless
I was excited when I saw this whisk. Loved the one I had years ago. But I am so disappointed with this whisk. Although it has the flat bottom that you need for stirring cream sauces, the handle is too short and the whisk end is much too flimsy to do a good job. I think it is too pricey for the quality. Save your money.

RUSTED Don't Buy!
RUSTED and you can see I just bought it, only used it "3 TIMES and IT RUSTED. Hand washed and I made sure it was completely dry before putting away. DON'T BUY it.

Favorite Kitchen Tool
This was to replace my mother's 40 year old spring coil whisk I stole (with my stepmother's permission) from my father's house more than a decade ago. My old whisk and finally rusted on me and broke my heart. I was so thrilled to finally find a replacement that I ordered two.One major plus to these over my mother's 40 year old whisk. is the rounded edges. This is not quite so damaging to my pans. I just might order another back-up as I use these every time I make a sauce. Pro-tip, don't use these in Teflon or other non-stick pans. It will still ruin the finish.

Needs better packaging.
This arrived in an envelope. The bottom portion of the spirals is tilted (probably got smashed).. It doesn't look like the photo. I've tried to straighten it out myself but can't. This is an aesthetic thing -- it works fine but the crooked spirals bother me.

Flaccid spring coil couldn't whisk eggs.
Spring part of the whisk is really thin/weak metal, can't whisk anything thicker than oil or water. Couldn't event handle eggs. Maybe good for whisking a salad dressing.

Not the usual shape
This is more nearly flat than similar whisks that I have owned in the past. Because it is almost flat, it doesn't flex as much as the others so it is not as helpful in keeping my sauces lump free. I prefer the traditional, taller shape.

12/1/14 edit - I originally gave this little whisk a great review - see below. But in less than 3 months the whisk barrel and the handle separated into two pieces. No way I can recommend this. It sure wasn't made well. I found this one here on Amazon that is stainless steel and has turned out to be good at scrambling a few eggs. It isn't good for pancake batter, though. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003NGAMRO/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0Original review:I'm really pleased with this small whisk. I had another the same size and design, but it was chrome plated, and rusted after a few months. This isn't a whisk for beating batter, though it would probably be great for just a few pancakes. It is, however, perfect for scrambling eggs. This one is made of stainless steel, so no rusting worries. It is slightly stiffer than the chrome plated versions, but that isn't an issue, really. I only mention it because I noticed it the first time or two I used it.
