Size up or watch your measurements
I usually wear a size 10 in store bought clothes. But in a pattern I need to go all the way up to a 14-16. Love this shirt pattern. It works for my needs.

Great pattern, couple small oversights
So I dove into the deep end with this. I am a complete beginner, have made literally just a few facemasks, pillows and simple soft toys, so this is my first proper garmentThe instructions are mostly clear, though there were a couple bits I struggled with. The "continuous lap" on the cuff is a little obtuse and quite difficult. Had to watch a video on how to do it as instructions weren't enough, especially as you have to sew so precise on that point, and it doesn't explain as well. There was also 0 explanation on how to fit a sleeve. I knew this was a thing before, but expects you to have this knowledge with little drawn instruction compared to the restHowever I completed the pattern. I made no alterations, and I am 5'11 so I found the sleeves to be a little short, but body and shoulders were correct mostly. I'm perfectly fine with a shorter arm as I roll up my sleeves anyway. Not a fault of the pattern by any means as it shows where to lengthen if you needOverall, I made a full shirt as a complete beginner and it looks great
