Douglas Laboratories Lipanase | High Strength Pancreatic Enzyme Formula Providing Lipase, Protease, and Amylase Enzyme Activity | 90 Tablets

I take the tablet form of Douglas Labs Lipanase, and contacted the company regarding chewing or breaking down the tablets since I have trouble swallowing tabs/capsules. Information they provided was that the tablets are best taken whole so that they can reach the small intestine where they are most effective, whereas if broken down, some of their effectiveness (also the effectiveness of Protease) can be lost through the action of stomach acid. It would be very helpful to have that information provided on the bottle--at least that the product is "best taken whole". Meanwhile, my doctor highly recommended this product.

Taken with a meal it helps me digest food that is difficult to digest. It doesn't solve all my digestion problems. I can say it allows to me to eat meals that would leave me feeling bloated and uncomfortable without feeling that way. If I eat items that give a small amount of discomfort it sometimes makes the meal trouble free. However, taking it with foods that really give me problems may lessen the problems but it doesn't eliminate it.

Every night I take one of these, and sometimes another at breakfast. I avoid gluten and cow dairy, and sometimes I cheat :-) In which case, I get bloated and feel uncomfortable. Forget about all the things on the market. Even one of my daughters takes these. Actually, she is the one who told me about these. She got them from her nutritionist. So I looked to find and order them for myself. Couldn't buy from Douglas Labs directly, so found a connection through Amazon.

This animal pancreatin has helped me more than vegetable based pancreatin. This one is similar to the enzymes naturally occurring in the human body that are depleted as we age. It has helped my reflux and for some reason has helped me more than the animal pancreatin in capsule form which did not agree with me. I have tried a lot of different pancreatic enzyme formulas.

The pills are not that easy to swallow, but when I take them with food at the end in the meal, I have no problem and I find them very effective concerning the light-headed feeling associated with my hypoglycemia.

This was recommended ot me by my doctor as I have not been able to lose weight no matter how I try., since taking these I have lost 15 pds with very little effort.

I was taking a prescription strength digestive enzyme (creon) and after developing severe muscle and joint pain I stopped taking it wondering if that was what was causing the symptoms. I tried a vegetarian product and the pain improved by 90%. I decided to try this product because it was stronger and by day two the muscle and joint pain returned. I researched the ingredients and found that both this and the creon have magnesium stearate which can cause muscle and joint pain. I did not know that I was sensitive to this ingredient but I see that many people are. I will return this product stick to the vegetarian that specifically states no magnesium stearate.

These work better for me than the non excentric coated pills. I have also tried source naturals, now foods, and twin labs. They all worked, but this worked better than all the others for me to help digest foods as I only have half a pancreas left.
