direct replacement for the Club Car Precedent MCOR accelerator
Having a poorly maintained 2008 Club Car golf cart, it began acting sporadically. It would start up and then slow down, sometimes stop completely before continuing. It had little power up modest grades. The batteries were recently replaced. An online search for these symptoms suggested it was a bad controller, a relatively expensive part. Taking the cart to a service shop was a last resort, so calling around for a replacement controller I lucked on to a knowledgeable service tech. Describing the symptoms, he immediately ruled out the controller and pointed to the "MCOR" - the accelerator pedal's potentiometer. He explained that it was a carbon wiper type variable resistor and that the carbon would wear out typically with the age of the cart and obviously degrade the performance. The replacement cost of this part ran as high as $275. This part was the same item for considerably less. Replacement was relatively simple (and allowed for a much needed cleaning of the floor mat, etc.) It solved the problem. I note that the cart does not have the "top speed" as with the original accelerator (when it worked properly) and suggests that the specifications are not quite up to the original. A bit slower is better than not working at all!

MCOR replacement on a golf cart
My golf cart would not move until the pedal was all the way down.Even then it was very slow. Now it runs perfect. For a cheap, easy to fix DIY job I'm very pleased.

Only lasted two weeks.
It only lasted two weeks and the potentiometer already started not working properly.

Works but a little tight
If you are having to replace this, good luck getting a couple of those floor plate screws loose. Past that, this item was difficult to get on the operating rod. The you tube videos where the old one comes off with a pull are accurate, but this replacement takes a lot of effort to install. A lot of effort.Similar effort required for the wiring harness. But installed, it worked. Makes a huge difference in the performance of the cart.
