NOT a full Gallon as in the title. Description says 109 oz and that looks right.
I just bought two of these jars cause I wanted 2 - Gallon Jars for making my Kombucha but the jars I got are about 3/4 the size of my gallon jar. They seem nice enough and the rubber ring is nicely contoured too fit the jar lid nicely. I thought they were made in the USA but they are made in China. I wouldn't have bought them if I knew the size but I can use them for my kefir or cultured vegetables that don't need too be heated. I bought bigger jars for my vegetables but they are going too be my new tea jars. If the size is what you are looking for, they seem too be nice jars. I cannot speak about their durability yet.

Not a gallon
This jar is not a gallon, it's more like 3 quarts. Also, as one other reviewer said the glass is a little thin. The opening is also a little on the small size. I was hoping to be able to store flour in it but the opening is to small to be able to dip flour out. Poring out flour is very messy. I'll use it to store dried beans, wheat berries, or popcorn.It's not a bad jar for the price but it could have been much more. I would have been willing to pay more and would have bought several of them if they had done this right.

The seal is not water tight - so I'm not sure how air tight it is either. If you plan on storing any liquids in it, you must store it upright.Other than that, good for the price

This jar is advertised as a "gallon" but is not as advertised. Also it doesn't seal very well and the clasp is pretty thin and cheap. Overall I am absolutely dosappointed, as the project I was doing required a gallon jar and needs to have a tight seal.

Did not seal closed even with the gasket. Had to go buy another. Not cool.

This jar works great for terrariums
This jar works great for terrariums. I replanted one in here when our old jar for it broke during a move and the plants are thriving. The gasket keeps the moisture in and the jar is sturdy enough to hold rocks, dirt, and plants.
