This is my second 4 way hose connector that I have purchased and I have to say it is awesome. Let me first explain why I needed to purchase a different brand/name in only one year. I purchased your generic solid brass 4 way connector from lowes/home depot last year. Figuring it was solid brass it would last a life time right? Um WRONG. That one lasted one season and it broke during the winter months at the top where it connects to the water (and yes I did turn off water before the winter lol). So I searched on amazon.com and read many reviews for different connectors. I decided to go with this one based off the amazon.com reviews that I have read. I have to say all of the reviews were correct. Positives 1. The connect was super easy. Yes it does have plastic parts, but the majority of hoses these days comes with plastic. (From my previous experience with a brass one, nothing is "free from breaking rofl). 2. The on/off switches for each connection as so easy to move, much easier then my previous one. 3. Quality.....I can always tell when I get an item if its going to be quality or not. This one is definitely quality and well worth the price. I think Outbacktuff did an awesome jobNegatives Let's face it, its a 4 way hose connector. With that being said I do not find this product to have any negatives what so ever. The product matches the description exactly and it works perfectly. No leaks, no fuss, no muss.I first like to thank my fellow amazon.com reviewers for recommding this item. Was expecting the Outback Tuff Spliteron 4-way hose splitter to be designed better and with less plastic and more metal. I hooked it up right out of the package and the second from the right tap leaked between the green plastic housing and the silver plastic (looks like metal in photos and packaging) threaded tap. I had to scrap it before using it even once. The packaging asks that I call or email them w any problems and guarantees they will make me a happy customer. I had to leave a vm in a vm system that was hard to understand. They have a long road ahead to get me to happy. I hate having my time wasted. I don't mind paying extra for well designed/built stuff. I think they attempt to make this product appear like the threaded taps are metal. They are cheap plastic. I paid $25 and wasted a couple of days to get this leaky piece of junk that i now have to spend more time to return.

Worked great for one season. Leaks from ALL seams and joints now. I definitely suggest a solid brass connector so simple gasket changes can be made for longer life. I did like the large and easy-to-use thumb levers, But not worth the short life and as an annual purchase.

The levers are the easiest I've ever used and I love that. 2 of the levers leak ever so slightly where they join the main body. The metal hose connections don't seem very solid and I'll be surprised if I don't twist one off attaching hoses, but so far so good. Generally speaking I'd prefer a more beefy design that retained these nice, easy opening levers and lose the bright green and orange.Update 6/13/16 Adding a star since the leaks around the levers have now completely stopped.Update 7/1/16 Adding the final star, this is an awesome, easiest to use splitter that I've ever used. You could open or shut a valve with a broken finger, it is that easy. If I get only 2 years out of this I'll happily buy another, it is just that good.

Works good, with no leaks....June 10 my wife found that one of the four valves is leaking. It is not a small drip; it is a constant stream. I tried to flush it hopping that something got stuck in it. No luck with that. Tomorrow I will try to take a closer look at it, and I will update my review.

This is a nice 4-way hose connector that I wish I had gotten sooner. Each connector appears to have metal threading. I did have a problem with the right most connection where for some reason it required two rubber gaskets to prevent leaking versus just using one rubber gasket for each of the other three connectors – no biggie for me.I like the fact that each connection has its own valve shut off which makes it very convenient when I don’t need to use the other connections. Not sure about long term durability as I have only been using this for a couple of months but so far it is working great with no leaks. Very good product if it lasts longer than a season.

Worked great for a while. But after less than a year and a mild winter (Myrtle Beach, SC 2016-2017), it leaked from every possible seam possible.

My wife has severe arthritis. She could not open the old valves for our garden hose. I went to Amazon seeking a solution for her problem. After reading a number of reviews on this hose connector I decided to give it a try. It came rapidly and was simple to install. My wife loves it! The smooth action and the long handles make it easy and painless for her to turn the water on and off. While we have just started using it I believe it will last. It appears to be well made of strong materials. In my opinion it was well worth its cost. My wife is happy with my purchase so I am too!
