Great Value.
Not super high quality, but still a very nice looking set. They have nice weights and very good presentation. They do have sharpened blades, but I haven't tested to see how sharp. They are definitely worth the money.

Great design! However....
Got these in today, and was impressed as soon as I laid eyes on them. Was extremely happy to get these in before work. However, there is one thing wrong with this item, and that's why I rated it 4 stars. The larger 10" Sgian Dubh came apart as soon as I unsheathed the blade. Blade comes out of the handpiece. I will carry the smaller one with my hose, but it seems I will have to keep the larger one as a decorative blade. Buyers be aware, the blade MAY be poorly put together.

Will literally fall apart at first use!
First let me say that I just ordered these knives for the blades as I knew the quality of the handle material is doubtful. I was correct as the large knife blade pulled out of the handle when opening the box. Yes very poor workmanship. However I thought I would have to work at removing the handle so this was easy for me. The actual handle had two dabs of cheap glue holding the blade in. The little knife was a bit better but I also plan on removing that handle too. These are just cheap ceremonial knives never meant for any real purpose. However you could remove the handles and make them into something more useful as I did. If you want some good blades buy some from the Scottish companies that actually make them in Scotland. Real quality but high price and shipping costs too. An alternative would be a Pakistani company named windless. Better than Chinese and less expensive than the Scottish blades. I actually have a dirk blade from them that has held up for years.

price perfect
Needed a new set for an upcoming wedding, didn't want to spend a bundle if it could be helped. This set is exactly as pictured, nice mirror polish on the blades and seem to be sturdy. For the price, this set can't be beat.

Meh...
Very cheap and it feels like it. It's ok for costume but not much else.

It's pretty, not a knife.
For starters, I'm knife and steel nazi. I own a number of extremely high-quality functional blades from pocket knives to two handed Asian swords, some of which are hand-made. Many of them are designed for actual use, and need only a pass or six with a sharpening stone to become deadly. These knives do not compare to any of them . . . as a blade.Don't get me wrong, they're pretty, and they're sharp out of the box, but the scabbards are ill-fitted, and the larger one rocks back and forth in it's scabbard and feels like it wants to come out. The smaller one does not have this issue. Both blades are very attractive, but the edges on mine were reversed relative to the photo. And no, the saw-edge is not sharpened, it feels like a 1mm or 0.5mm flat. So, being right-handed, when I pull one of these from my right sock, the sharp side is "up" and the blunted saw-edge is "down" as I pull the blade. This is annoying. Also, the blades are made of mirror-polished 440 stainless, and any blade nut will tell you that 440 is garbage when it comes to functional blades. It's very pretty, easy to polish, and doesn't have to be packed in lithium grease for storage, but it dulls fast and won't hold an edge at all. That said, these were really cheap, so I wasn't expecting much. I needed an attractive sgian dubh for an event right around the corner, and I didn't have the money on hand to get a good one. If you just want these for show, like I did, these are a GREAT choice. They got here in two days and didn't cost me and arm and a leg, and they're very pretty. Just be aware that they are pretty, and if you use them for anything you'll need to sharpen them right away. And buff and polish them to keep the pretty factor.

but it looks good and is reasonably sharp
Decent little set for the money. Plastic, yes, but it looks good and is reasonably sharp. I wouldn't try sharpening it, though, I doubt the junk metal will take it.

To be fair however for the low pricing I will say I got a good deal.
A little flimsy to say the least. I have had to put some cardboard into the scabbard due to the small blade falling out. To be fair however for the low pricing I will say I got a good deal.

Meh.
The knives look nice for decoration but they are NOT SHARP. I was disappointed that they were dull on both sides. They are not meant for any sort of use what so ever. One of the blades popped right out of the handle as soon as I opened it. Not pleased that it lasted literally one second. But they are nice looking and pointy. The handles are nice and all but a plastic cheap material. Good as a prop or for a film.
