Fun, lighthearted reading
I've only read this manga Boys over Flowers and Skip Beat so I may not be much to judge by but I think it's a cute, engaging and well written story. I wish they would hurry up and translate the rest of the books. I love the relationship that is still developing between Chiwa &Hokuto (is it strange that I find him attractive?). I have re-read this book multiple times because it is a great escape mechanism from the daily grind. I wish Amazon or Maki's American publisher would make her other books available as I'd love to explore them since I haven't seen any other mangas that compel me to read them.

Communication
Okay, we have more communication but we also have poor decision making. I'm glad to see these two are finally making an effort, and I'm glad their at least communicating and not using...relations...to solve all of their marital problems.

2 Years Into Their Rocky Marriage
Volume 6 of Happy Marriage!? (the series ends with 10 volumes) follows Chiwa and Hokuto now that they are 2 years into the marriage. Chiwa still strives to be the perfect wife of a business man of Hokuto's calibre. And Hokuto is as inscrutable as ever.Story: Hokuto goes on an extended business trip overseas but doesn't communicate with Chiwa. When Soma sends a picture via phone of Hokuto hanging out with a well endowed blonde, Chiwa begins to worry that her husband is already cheating on her. Does she dare to do the same with her ex boyfriend Asahina? She's also worried about the circumstances of Hokuto's mother's death - Hokuto believes his father caused it but Chiwa is finding clues that Hokuto was actual the target, not his mother. But Hokuto doesn't want to talk about it.Western audiences may not appreciate the Japanese aesthetic of a woman working hard to be the perfect accessory to her husband. That theme is very strong in this particular volume. But crossing the cultures, we find at heart a really sweet love story and a couple learning to get to know each other and wanting to help the other be happy. And really, that is the heart of this series: a sweet warmth of very likeable characters and the comedic situations in which they find themselves.Reviewed from an ARC.

Very good
~4/5[More of my reviews are available on my blog, Geeky Reading, to which there's a link on my profile.]Chiwa and Hokuto, at this point, are still just having problems communicating. They have a hard time telling each other what they want, and only tend to do it after they’ve messed up. But I do think they’re learning, and they are starting to get used to each other. One of the continuing problems for them now is Hokuto’s family. He doesn’t want to think about it, but Chiwa wants to fix it, and so is trying to find out what actually happened. In this volume, she made a surprising, possibly bad, revelation. Then there’s Chiwa’s co-worker, who Hokuto still doesn’t really know is an ex of hers. And when Chiwa gets sick, she doesn’t want to burden him, and so he doesn’t know how to react, whether to rush to her or not. He might not have made the right decision, but he clearly already knows that. I look forward to seeing what they both do next. But on the other hand, Chiwa went to a business party with Hokuto, and was surprisingly helpful, which definitely helped her self-esteem.I’m loving the romance and the comedy in this series. I can’t wait for the next book.
