Pretty good product for the price. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the battery life is very short.

I bought this car dash cam from TT shuai store. i love it. i have no issue to use this dvr, and has night version and works great. trust me, you will like this car cam.

After a couple of months, I finally had the time to install and use the dash cam. Here's my experience.-- Unboxing --In the box you will find the following:1. Dash cam2. Mount3. Power cableThere was no manual included with the package that I purchased. Overall packaging is very good. The box is sturdy and fully protects its contents.-- Look and Feel --The gold color immediately stands out and the cam is heavy compared to other dash cams I've purchased on Amazon. Holding the cam in your hands gives you the feeling of a quality product.-- Installation --I mounted the dash cam behind the rearview mirror, hid the wires inside the headliner, through the A pillar, under the dash and to the cigarette lighter socket that turns on and off with the engine. This required a little bit of work since I had to remove the A pillar cover and secured the cable under the dash. The result is a very clean installation with minimal amount of wire exposed.Very Important: Because the dash cam is heavy, make sure that it's securely mounted on the windshield. You do not want this unit to accidentally come off and become a projectile during sudden braking.-- Configuration --This is where I had the most trouble. Because a manual was not included, I had to play around with the buttons until I figured out how to get in and out of the menu items and configure the camera to the settings I wanted. I don't believe I've located all of the menu items because the dash cam is currently recording every minute. Based on other dash cams I've installed, there's always an option for 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10 minute recording intervals. My preference is 5 or 10 minutes.-- Actual Use --Because the camera is connected to a power source that is engine controlled, it automatically turns on and off with the engine. For the price, the video quality is surprisingly good using the best settings. The cam is advertised to record at 165 degrees which I do not think is correct. Compared to videos recorded by another camera at 170 degrees, this unit's recording does not come close in terms of width. The width of the recordings produced by this unit compares very closely with cams advertised to record at 120 degrees. I've had no issue with the dash cam after two weeks of use but I still have to locate the additional menu settings so that I can configure the unit to my best liking.-- Conclusion --For the price, it would be hard to find another camera with the same solid build and good quality recording. The biggest drawback for me was the lack of a user guide and less intuitive user interface which added more configuration time. Normally, I can configure dash cams within five minutes but this one took about thirty minutes. The piece that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket is long causing it to stick out. This could be an issue with vehicles with limited space in front of the cigarette lighter socket. This piece could be shorter and the cable, perpendicular to the piece.I would recommend this dash cam to those who want basic functionality but do not want to spend a lot of money.

I guess I received a defective dvr. The battery shows full bars on the screen and when I unplug the charger the dvr shuts off and is unresponsive. Only until I plug it back in, it will turn on. I sent an email and still currently waiting on a response. I will update to a better review once I get this issue fixed. I gave it two stars because after figuring out the buttons it is quite easy to operate and understand. Also it is very attractive looking and looks like it could take a beating. No cheap materials made in this product. Maybe just the battery? This does have 5 star potential written all over it.
