I love this laptop for the ease of setup, beautiful screen & touch...it is a little heavier than I like but still a great laptop.

This laptop was a gift from my family after getting into nursing school, in January 2021. It is less than 2 months away from making it 2 years since I 've owned this beautiful laptop. It is so sleek, clear, touch screen is always great and the screen/keyboard is a wide perfect size- and I never expected such an expensive gift so I was truly touched.Unfortunately, this is the screen today. Over the last few days, different colors and a "cloudy" fog has appeared over the screen, despite have never dropping or spilling anything on my precious laptop.This laptop means a lot to me as most of my sensitive school files, papers, projects, and presentations are saved on here. I never leave reviews on Amazon however not only was I super disappointed in the drastic decline of the laptop, but in hopes that an *Amazon* employee would reach out to maybe get this laptop replaced. I believed this laptop would last me longer because of the aesthetic, however, as a frequent user of it- I can honestly say the quality is 100% questionable. The fingerprint login was not functional, yet that is something I overlooked because of the laptop's speed and quality upon opening the product.If this review gets a positive response, I'll be sure to update readers.

Best laptop i've ever owned. Screen resolution is beautiful and crisp. Great battery life. Light up keyboard is awesome too

I am totally happy with this laptop. Battery life is amazing, lightweight and great performance.What you can expect from HP top line devices.I'd recommend strongly for anyone buying.

Purchased this laptop with hopes of it being my primary photo editing computer. It arrived well packaged and the laptop itself is absolutely beautiful. When I turned the laptop on, Cortanas voice came through the speakers telling me how to set up the computer but the screen remained dark. I restarted the computer and the same thing happened again. I followed instructions from the HP website and the guidance of a YouTube video to project the screen onto a secondary monitor, downloaded new BIOS and restarted.this fixed the screen issue for a short time but the next time I turned the computer off and back on I encountered the same dark screen issue. Followed the same steps to try and correct it again but had no luck this time so I chose to return the laptop. I may order a second one and hope for better luck this time around as I was very excited to get this computer but it is certainly disappointing to purchase a brand new laptop only to find it broken/faulty and need to return it the same day. I gave 2 stars in spite of this because for the short time that I had her working, it was really nice. Unfortunately, it isn't much good to me with a screen that doesn't work most of the time and considering the information I found online, it doesn't seem to be a rare instance. If I decide to purchase again and have better results, I will come back and update this review.

I spent a lot of time trying to decide between this and a Dell XPS15 and the Lenovo Yoga 9i with similar specs. I really wanted the Dell but the delivery times didn’t work for me. This seller shipped and delivered the package promptly. I originally did not like the gold/copper bit of the Spectre since I am not a big fan of flashy things, but it’s not overdone and I don’t mind it so much now. It’s a pretty sleek-looking and well-built solid machine. The back-lit keyboard with number pad is a real treat to use. It has a nice response and I actually prefer it over the Macbook Pro. The screen lives up to the hype. It’s simply beautiful. Some of the programs I have downloaded appear really small and I guess it’s got something to do with the high-resolution display. This might be a simple fix but I just haven’t gotten to it yet. Boot up time is super-fast. That you get a stylus pen and a simple leather case is a plus.While it isn’t as light as I would have hoped, for all that’s packed into this, it isn’t too heavy at all and can be carried around with ease. I mostly do some simple design work and do work with various types of documents and I also use it for surfing and watching videos, movies etc. Haven't tried it for gaming. I have heard the fan about 4 times since having it (I have it 3 weeks now) and it is noticeably loud and I can’t say I was doing a large number of intensive tasks. But the sound did not last long. It has also gotten a little warm a few times – but not ridiculously so. I have yet to put the machine under real work – but I also doubt I would really use the machine to its fullest potential. I do wish there was one more USB A port just because it would have been convenient for the other devices I need to connect, but I’ve just bought a USB hub so that minor issue should be solved. Besides these, it’s been a pleasure to have this machine.******IMPORTANT UPDATE**********My display is fading and there are vertical lines. I've updated drivers etc etc and problem persists. It seems that this might be a hardware issue with machine. How extremely inconvenient. Will be contacting HP support to see what my best options are. For such a beautiful machine...this is very upsetting.

The specs are good for the price, laptop has been quiet so far with minimal issues when it comes to overheating. It's neat that it comes with a pen and you can flip it in tablet mode.I would recommend this model.

I treated this laptop with gloves! and 7 months into having it the screen went dead (same issue I had with another HP Spectre actually). Notice: I never use the touch screen, rarely open/close, really treat this machine with the best care. Unacceptable. Incredibly, this was a replacement unit for another HP laptop I had returned right after purchasing.
