The price is a ripoff!!!
These catheters are way too expensive especially since the instruction say not to wash & reuse them. You should be able to buy just the padded part that slips on to the plastic tube. People that need to use this device more than likely have to use it for the rest of their lives and $12-$13 each or $200 for a box of 30 is too expensive. I’d rather wash them & reuse them.

The Purewick
I used the product because I am disabled and I don’t have to go to the bathroom at night and day because I can’t walk I have Ms and I have to get help with going to the bathroom and I don’t want to wake up my husband because he takes good care of me and he doesn’t have to wake up in the middle of the night to change my pull-ups and it gets rid of odors and it prevents bed sores The product is working well and I am very happy with it and I highly recommend it we have the entire product we have the electric and battery powered and we take it every where we go to the doctor to do everything and it works great and it keeps the urine in the system. This is a great product

Don't be Gaslighted.
As previously reviewed the heading, "The Home Unit is NOT the Same as the In-Hospital" I agree! The difference between PureWick in a hospital vs. the PureWick sold for home use is shocking.I echo that review, I also have additional comments: With a career background in troubleshooting hardware remotely, I just couldn't come to grips with the fact that my home unit was so inadequate compared to what I experienced in the hospital. I wasted hundreds of dollars purchasing pee wicks (they are very expensive - at least over $6.00 each) trying everything conceivable, and more, to have the great and efficient product I assumed I'd have when buying the home unit. I even had a replacement unit sent (after numerous customer service calls and sales rep interactions).Nope, same problem. The pump isn't strong enough to get the suction needed to vacuum urine reliably. As a curious side note: I was so impressed with the PureWick system I used in two different hospitals that I repeatedly said, "Whoever invented this should be awarded The Nobel Pee Prize".Don't be fooled, the home units are pretty much crap.

VERY expensive but worth it for the comfort for the bed-ridden
Frankly, I was shocked at how expensive these things were but if you got insurance paying for it, they are worth it. Must be used in conjunction with a suction pump that will drain off in to a catch can.But the unit itself is well made and once you get used to how it works, the convenience is worth the expense. If you are a bed ridden woman, this is a must have. They are single use units so, again, be prepared for the sticker shock.

They work
You can't buy more than one and sometimes they can't tell you when it's going to ship

Worked well

Too expensive
It dies what it's supposed to do. I researched after purchasing the system and found a different purewick...different name less expensive but it's a need and was met. Wish these were more affordable

This price is for ONE catheter!
While I think the product is amazing the price for this listing is way too expensive. You can buy a box of 30 for less than $300, which makes them $10.00 each. Buy in bulk.
